Key Responsibilities Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams/Customer to optimize SMT processes, including solder paste application, component placement, reflow profiles, and quality control procedures. Analyze production data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and yield. Technical Support: Respond to technical inquiries from operators, engineers, maintenance personnel and Customer regarding SMT equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and component placement issues. Assists/Lead diagnosing problems through analysis of error codes, machine logs, and visual inspection, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Provide remote troubleshooting support via phone, email, and remote access tools. Conduct on-site troubleshooting and repairs as needed, including adjustments to machine parameters and component placement settings. Cleans or sanitizes all food contact surfaces between changes of product. Ensures availability of all required materials and supplies, using the appropriate lift trucks, hand jacks and other equipment once certifications are achieved. Operates equipment, including troubleshooting and making adjustments in accordance with established work standards. Cleans and assembles equipment according to standard operating procedures. Conducts quality checks at regular intervals; inspects ingredients and finished product to ensure product is processed according to specifications. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Li-ion battery recycling operation. This critical role reports directly to the Head of Quality and plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our battery disassembly, processing, and finished product quality. This position is for our D-shift staff, working nights, Thursday through Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Requirements Experience: Proven professional experience (2+ years) in a quality control, technician, or related technical role, preferably within a manufacturing, recycling, or complex technical environment. Battery Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with Li-ion battery technology, including familiarity with common battery pack and module architectures. Mechanical Fluency: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for precise disassembly, inspection, and maintenance tasks. Documentation & Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with experience in technical writing, including the creation and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and quality reports. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to recording data, performing inspections, and accurately executing product sampling protocols. Responsibilities In-Process Quality Control & Sampling: Execute routine sampling and testing of recycled products (e.g., black mass, metal fractions) generated by the recycling operation multiple times per day.
