JOB SUMMARY: Transport materials and product from, to, and within department assigned. Process various inventory transactions while maintaining 99% inventory accuracy for your area of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Use forklift to move materials and product within department as instructed. This may include steel coils, dies, baskets and containers, vinyl, welded components, etc.
2. Load and unload trucks at shipping and receiving docks as instructed.
3. Verifies part numbers, quantities, and purchase order information against packing slips.
4. Team members are expected to work wherever needed based on training.
5. Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
6. Accurately complete paperwork required for production records. This includes items such as labor reporting, move tickets, SPC charts, manifests, etc.
7. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area.
8. Operate Radio Frequency equipment to transact inventory.
9. Cycle count inventory and research problems.
10. Process small parcel (UPS) shipments and receipts.
11. Complete company provided training.
12. Process outbound shipments and inbound receipts.
13. Pick boxed merchandise from warehouse.
14. Print bar code label to identify product.
15. Operate forklift out-of-doors in a scrap dumping operation.
16. Audits the warehouse inventory to reconcile locations against computer files.
17. Investigates inventory discrepancies and concludes the most probable cause of errors.
18. Prepares a daily report of audit results.
19. Keys all warehouse inventory adjustments.
20. Assists with statistical samples.
21. Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
22. Participate in PCI process. Perform special projects as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
1. High School degree or equivalent.
2. Ability to operate numerous forklifts: electric stand-up, electric sit-down, L.P. and side load, in a warehouse environment.
3. Ability to communicate well with others.
4. Ability to read and understand routings, work orders, manifests, and production reports.
5. Ability to count accurately.
6. Certification as Polaris forklift driver required.
7. Ability to take instructions and work with little supervision.
8. Ability to operate overhead crane.
9. Ability to use MAPICS computer software.
10. Ability to work in a changing environment.

Return to Stock - counting parts returned from manufacturing floor after manufacturing order builds, researching and correcting discrepancies in system versus physical quantities being returned, and placing parts into the appropriate storeroom locations both physically and systemically.
Part Storage/Issuance - packaging parts per quality standards, printing and labeling parts, pulling requested parts, and issuing parts systemically to the correct project/manufacturing order.

Shipping/Receiving - receiving incoming material and preparing and processing outgoing shipments.
Required Qualifications:

A Brief Summary of This Position
The Shipper position is an individual contributor in the Shipping Department. This person must be a highly driven individual that will bundle, crate, box, and wrap products to be shipped.
Essential Functions
Operate a 15,000 pound forklift to move material up to 40 foot in length.
Read blueprints accurately to identify material and components.
Load material onto trucks.
Maintain material traceability both inside the shop and outside in the yard.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work both in a non-temperature controlled environment and outdoors.
Assist with cycle counts.
Enter data into computer software, as needed.
Transport parts and material to correct location.
Identify and label material with correct information and place into inventory.

Working Conditions & Physical Efforts
The job is performed in an indoor shop environment. The temperature range can be from 100 degrees in the summer to about 50 degrees in the winter. Most operations may expose employee to some type of disagreeable working conditions (wind, cold, heat, dust, dirt, fumes, noise, vibration, water, or oil). Working conditions may vary with specific work assignments. Exposure to electrical hazards, grease, loud noises, and outside elements occur continually or regularly. Extreme care should be taken to prevent damage to equipment or department personnel in the area of operations especially when performing setups. The job requires safety glasses, hearing protection, and metatarsal safety shoes be worn at all times. The employee must be able to spend the entire work shift on their feet within the shop environment. Responsible to perform a variety of specific duties, both within the store and assigned store locations, under the supervision of the Store Manager. General duties include: unloading of merchandise trucks, received DC merchandise inventory control, and preparing all merchandise for display. Maintains cleanliness and order in the warehouse at all times. Performs furniture touch ups and repairs. Ensures timely execution of moving merchandise to the sales floor. Insures inside and outside of building as well as surrounding grounds up keep and cleanliness. Maintains close communication with store managers to insure customer service consistent with W.S. Badcock standards.
Responsibilities
* Provides control of Store and Customer merchandise.
* Secures and maintains the company issued tools.
* Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies management concerning repairs.
* Cleans, checks, and inspects all merchandise before taking it to the showroom or releasing it for customer P/U for OUTLET Stores or when applicable.
* Handles all Inventory Control and Customer Load Outs for OUTLET Stores (or anywhere when applicable)
* Assists in maintaining store security and safety.
* Learns and complies with the company's loss prevention program by working in a safe manner; identifies and reports, and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or personal injury.
* Assists with customer P/U (where applicable) and unloads DC merchandise. Un-boxes merchandise. Sets up, displays, cleans, touches-up, repairs, refurbishes, tests/checks returned products,
* Uses a dolly to safely move merchandise; maintains vehicle security
* Cleans and maintains showroom, office areas, rest rooms, front and back of the store, windows, light fixtures, walls, floor, carpet, dumpster area and furniture.
* Any project assigned by Store Management through overview of the Regional Director.
Qualifications
* High school diploma / GED.
* Six months retail customer service, staff supervision, and delivery experience.
* Ability to read maps, shipping / packing documents and assembly instructions.
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and personnel by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective time management skills.
* Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
* Mechanical ability to service and maintain upholstery and case goods.
* Valid, clean driver's license - eligible to be DOT certified to operate a box truck if required.
