    The position of Read Right tutor can be filled by certified or non-certified staff and requires ongoing training by Read Right consultants to ensure that each student receives excellent tutoring. Trainees are certified as Read Right tutors when they demonstrate competence in the below-mentioned areas. Read Right Tutor Certification. To receive Read Right Tutor Certification, one must demonstrate competency in effectively tutoring a wide range of students, performing assessments, and correctly determining when it is time to advance, promote, or graduate a student. In addition, the conferring of Read Right Tutor Certification indicates that the trainee can manage the students and the project and work effectively with school personnel to fill the tutoring slots. Trainees must demonstrate an ability to effectively use the Read Right Tutor Manual as a guide and resource to ensure the integrity of the methodology is maintained. Read Right Tutor Certification is valid for two years. Re-certification can be performed by Read Right Consultants or by a Read Right Certified Trainer. Core Responsibilities: Become certified as a Read Right tutor. Administer pre-tests as students enter the program, administer post-tests, and exit interviews when students leave the program. Inform school administration about program progress regularly. Gather student progress information during the month-end review of each student's file and submit data to Read Right Systems within three working days after the end of the month. Maintain the program quality by using the student progress reporting system and Read Right field consultants as resources. Take follow-up action as necessary. Maintain an open line of communication with students, teachers, administrators, trainers, and Read Right Systems to assure program quality. Be accessible and respond promptly to student, teacher, administration, trainer, and Read Right Systems concerns and scheduling needs.     Job Title: Substitute Teacher, Long term assignment, Grammar School Exemption Status: Non-exempt Reports to: Principal Terms of Employment: Hourly ____________________________________________________________________________ Summary: Long-term assignment (approximately 12 weeks, beginning early February 2026 in a 4th grade classroom. Will coordinate, direct and carry out lesson plans and activities of the classroom teacher for whom he/she is substituting. Duties and Responsibilities: * Substitute teachers are expected to arrive on campus at 7:30AM unless instructed otherwise when scheduled. * The length of the school day for a substitute teacher is considered to be the same as for the regular teacher unless specified otherwise at time scheduled. * The substitute teacher should report to the school office for assignment, specific directions and location of classroom and lesson plans. * Maintain an orderly classroom during the school day. * Follow all plans left by the regular classroom teacher. * Request assistance from another teacher, department head or principal if there is a question or uncertainty about procedures. * Assist students with their work, questions, or problems. Request help from another teacher or administrator if necessary. * Assume responsibility for the care of textbooks, machines, equipment, technology, and supplies within the classroom or utilized by students. * Leave student work and all plans for regular classroom teacher to find easily upon their return. * Grade / correct student work as requested by regular classroom teacher as time permits. * Leave notes for the teacher indicating work completed and any other pertinent information. * Tidy classroom at end of day, replacing supplies, etc in proper storage places. * Respect the confidentiality of teacher and student information.
