Job Requirements: - FOR THIS PARTICULAR JOB POST: YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TUTOR IN-PERSON (student's home) in the towns of Morristown, Mendham and Chester, NJ. - Tutor Doctor is not a brick-and-mortar tutoring center. We go and meet the students where they are (Live or Virtual). The Long Valley address is simply where the home office is located. - Ability to teach K-12th grade Mathematics concepts. Including elementary and middle school math, algebra, geometry, algebra 2, trig, pre-calc, calculus. - Quickly assess a student's level using your methods and also evidence provided by the client. - Assist with test preparation (tests, quizzes, etc.). - Aid students with homework and lessons during tutoring sessions.- Motivate students to study and stay on task. - Create or follow lesson plans depending on the student's needs. - Teach and reinforce classroom concepts taught at their school. - Maintain a high level of professionalism and collaborate effectively with families and colleagues. - Be willing to meet clients face-to-face in mutually agreed-upon locations. - Travel to the towns mentioned (mandatory) and additional surrounding towns. - Utilize online tools for virtual instruction when required. - Prior tutoring experience preferred but not necessary. - Experience in preparing tutoring lessons for both in-person and virtual settings is preferred. Job Type: Part-time (approx. 8 hours per week, with potential for additional hours if desired). Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience. Benefits: Flexible, supportive work environment.
