As members of the Peer Tutoring staff, tutors will work on an individual basis or in a small group sessions to review material with students requesting tutoring support. Tutoring support needs include, but are not limited to, answering questions on course content, providing review and feedback, studying/creating study material, providing writing-related skills, practice and preparation work to aid in the mastery of course content. Peer tutors work a set schedule in the Peer Tutoring Studio for 4 hours per week including required paid training and staff meetings. Hours may increase by 1 -2 hours per week for high-need courses. Other job duties include leading class visits, helping to design and present workshops, tabling at admissions events, and assisting with special events. This is a great job for people who enjoy working with peers, and are organized, patient, and comfortable greeting/presenting. Essential Job Functions: Peer Tutors are expected to assume the duties and responsibilities identified below.
