Complete Instructor led OEM courses as required to support location fleet mix.
Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:
Performs standard vehicle maintenance
Performs preventive maintenance
Performs complex repairs with minimal (if any) support.
Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicable.
Performs remote triage to with RCRC and customers to determine best solution to assist roadside breakdowns.
Performs facility maintenance duties
Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
Instructs and advises other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
Coaches/Mentors other level technicians
Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of a GSE Mechanic, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ladder work is required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50-70 pounds. The employee must be able to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp, around aircraft, and in confined areas of the airport. This job requires specific vision abilities.

The CBP Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing functions on assigned aircraft within an aircraft maintenance and operations environment and in accordance with applicable instructions.
Principal Accountabilities:
Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, technical manuals, and other data as applicable.
Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
Perform inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting and fault isolation on aircraft systems.
May be required to fly on Government aircraft for relocation, to conduct in-flight checks (test flights) and to conduct trouble shooting that cannot be completed on the ground.
May be required to perform official travel to temporary duty sites within and outside the United States.
Furnish own hand tools to perform maintenance of aircraft (necessary special tools and test equipment will be furnished by the customer).
May be required to perform other duties as required to support the overall mission.
Minimum Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid State driver's license.
Must be willing to subject themselves to random drug tests.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance. Note: US Citizenship required to obtain clearance.
High school graduate or have an equivalency certificate from an accredited program, is required.
Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
Must be competent and knowledgeable in the repair and maintenance of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and aircraft systems to include airframes, structural, hydraulics, fuel and electrical systems, and aircraft engines.
Must be competent and knowledgeable in system troubleshooting, reading and interpretation of schematics, blueprints, technical manuals and FAA, Company, and other Directives.
Must be reliable and demonstrate good judgment.
Able to follow base, federal and Company procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
Ability to meet required deadlines and maintain necessary workflow.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language and follow both verbal and written instruction.
The ability to comprehend/interpret technical data.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
Be physically able to perform aircraft mechanic duties.
Ability to move freely about the interior and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
May be required to wear a respirator.
Pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.
On occasions, individuals may also be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail, thus requiring the use of adequate ear protection.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer at least two years of experience working rotary-wing aircraft.
UH-60 Blackhawk experience highly desired.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry located in Millville, WV. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment and automobiles. Responsible for keeping the equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance and repairs when needed.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of quarry equipment, including crushers, conveyors, haul trucks, and heavy machinery, at multiple locations within the quarry site.
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on mobile equipment, ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and minimizing downtime.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical systems, and other mechanical components of mobile equipment and machinery.
+ Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field, providing on-site repairs to minimize operational disruptions and downtime.
+ Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify wear and tear, safety hazards, and potential failures, and take corrective action as needed.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts replaced, and any issues identified during service visits to ensure compliance and traceability.
+ Ensure that all equipment meets safety standards and regulations, including MSHA compliance, and that all safety equipment is functional and up to date.
+ Operate diagnostic equipment and tools to assess mechanical issues and make informed decisions about repairs or part replacements.
+ Collaborate with maintenance teams and supervisors to prioritize repair tasks, and communicate the status of equipment and machinery.
+ Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to make necessary repairs on mobile equipment and ensure its continued functionality.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
+ **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent
+ **Field of Study Prefered:** Heavy Equipment Maintenance
+ **Required Work Experience:** Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience
+ **Travel Requirements:** 25%-50%
+ Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on a variety of quarry equipment, including heavy machinery and mobile units (e.g., haul trucks, loaders, crushers).
+ Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively.
+ Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with machinery and ensure accurate, timely repairs.
+ Welding and fabrication skills to make repairs to equipment frames, structural components, and other metal parts.
+ Knowledge of safety regulations including MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) standards and OSHA guidelines, ensuring compliance on all repairs and maintenance.
+ Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring thorough and accurate inspections and repairs that extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, performing on-site repairs and completing tasks without direct supervision in varying outdoor conditions.
+ Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check, including both felonies and misdemeanors, as required for employment

Works unsupervised on most tasks
Performs facility maintenance duties
Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT).
Acts as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
