We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an Auto Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles performance and function.
As an Auto Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment and maintaining a welcoming environment for all.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, be able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.
Work will be partly in shop, and partly on the road. Service vehicle will be provided for all mobile work. The ideal candidate will have the ability to talk to customers while on the road and create a sense of trust in our service, as well as be courteous, clean, and respectful.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner
Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required
Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills are required

As an experienced Auto Mechanic / Automotive Technician, you help strengthen our relationships with customers by properly maintaining and repairing their vehicles. You also maintain our reputation for fast, friendly service. Resolving a range of mechanical issues, you correctly diagnose problems with their vehicles, clearly explain the options, and make the agreed-upon repairs. Our customers know that they can rely on your competence and integrity.
You also provide regular maintenance services that keep vehicles in top condition. Job Description
Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and all manner of automotive repairs and maintenance, that you are qualified to perform
Secure our guests approval to perform the work as a result of the diagnosis; and always maintain a clean, neat work area
Complete thorough automotive vehicle inspections on every vehicle you service and perform any repairs and maintenance
Test drive guest vehicles and use our shop truck in a safe manner to pick up inventory as needed
Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians
Qualifications
High school or GED equivalent.
2+ years of automotive technician experience
Valid Driver License
Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in tool purchase program.
Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
Guest and team focused mindset
Additional Information
We are offering competitive hourly Flat Rate Mechanic positions $25 - $40 based on experience.

Atlantic Coast Enterprises is calling all experienced Auto Mechanics / Automotive Technicians in the Surfside Beach, SC. area to apply to join our team full-time. In this position, you would enjoy a 5-day work week! Are you an AATI or ASE certified automotive mechanic who is looking to build a career with a company that will value you and promotes a positive work culture? Are you ready to take on more consistent automotive repair responsibilities while earning competitive pay? If so, read on!
We pay a competitive hourly rate (Not Flat Rate) which ranges between $18/hr. and $24/hr. depending on experience and certifications. Technician commissions are earned and paid out every 2 weeks and range from $400 to $1400 and are based on store level Automotive Repair Net Sales. Hourly rate compensation and commissions earned can lead to annual compensation above $100,000.
Technicians can also earn one-time bonuses ($500 Each) for certifications earned while a member of the company.
