5. Apply and remove bandages and dressing to superficial incisions or lacerations; apply orthopedic appliances such as knee immobilizers, envelope slings, and similar devices. Remove sutures or staples from superficial incisions or lacerations.
6. Prepare patients for and assist the licensed healthcare professional in examinations or procedures including positioning, draping, shaving and disinfecting treatment sites.
7. Monitors pending referrals, notifies patients of lab results and diagnostic results based on providers written orders, obtains consult notes, and documents attempts within eClinicalWorks.

*Job Duties:*
* Assists with patient flow within assigned outpatient clinic setting.
* Responds in a timely manner to call-lights.
* Provides comfort measures to patient / family.
* Performs technical and supportive patient care skills, incorporating the patient's plan of care and following approved policy and procedure.
* Obtains vital signs. Appropriately documents chief complaint and reason for visit.
* Uses aseptic techniques and infection control measures in the performance of duties.
* Accurately collects excretory specimens, such as urine and feces.
* Obtains blood samples by venipuncture.
* Accurately performs tests, such as basic urine chemistry using chemical strips, guaiac, Ph, blood glucose, UPT, and hemocult.
