Role Description
Responsible for using clinical history and other patient information in arriving at the proper diagnosis for each cytologic specimen
Examine cytology specimens for the presence of abnormal cellular changes and pathogens
Sign out all negative gynecologic cases
Report other cytologic findings, such as the presence of microorganisms endocervical component
Evaluate and mark GYN (reactive and reparative, abnormal, questionable or negative)
Submit reactive and reparative, abnormal and questionable GYN cases to a pathologist for final evaluation
Record the results of each GYN slide read on the appropriate form/systems/etc. used in the laboratory, in a legible manner
Submit daily workload of negative GYN cases for a minimum of 10% quality control review (including random high-risk cases) by a supervisory qualified cytotechnologist.
Maintain appropriate records
Maintain compliance with workload limits
Maintain microscope in excellent working condition
Participate in continuing education in areas relating to Cytology
Qualifications
Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including specimen preparation and cellular sample analysis
Strong knowledge of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent

Job Responsibilities
Screen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditions
Screening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides
Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and policies
Ensure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelines
Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results
Meet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedure
Finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner
Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed
Comply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university
Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program
ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required
Prior experience working in Cytology is preferred
ThinPrep and SurePath certifications is a plus
Must pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency test
Demonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniques
Automated and non-automated testing experience is preferred

What you will do
The Insights Lab is a new state-of-the-art facility enabling immersive collaboration, planning and learning. It is a technology forward environment with physical and digital merchandising capability and will be leveraged for strategic meetings, consumer learning and to showcase our Kenvue Category Visioning and best-in-class innovation and execution to our customers, retailers, and partners.
The Lab Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Insights Lab to support consumer / shopper research initiatives, retailer meetings, strategic planning meetings, BIC merchandising & activation development. This coordinator will lead the hosting of Kenvue guests and have competence across key tech & shopper / category systems such as JDA Space Planning software, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video / audio tech experience. This individual needs to be agile, adaptable, ability to manage complexity, strong presentation skills, an ability to develop content, and a strong understanding of video / audio technology. This leader will collaborate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally and should have a demonstrated ability to manage complexity & partner end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate key partner and customer presentations leveraging Innovation Lab Immersive software in support of Category / Brand / Retailer initiatives
Facilitate scheduling, booking and maintenance of the lab
Run the day-to-day operations of the lab, with high quality management of the technical tools & software
•Run the day-to-day operations of The Insights Lab meetings including preparing for & executing hosting consumers, shoppers, retailers, Kenvue guests & leaders
Design and run the immersive retailer environments leveraging VIS software and in partnership with development agency
Optimize the lab Booking process, developing and deployment process of lab usage
Influence and execute the POG activation of merchandising improvements, efficient assortment, and clustering solutions
Work in partnership with other Global Insights Lab (e.g. P2P Lab in UK) and local Retailer team CFTs
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 2 years business experience
Strong digital & technical literacy, including strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, Calendar Scheduling Software, VIZ or Photoshop
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Ability to work collaboratively and independently to organize and complete assigned work
Strong facilitation skills, creativity and ability to flawlessly meet lab user needs with agility is required.
Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex information
This is a Hybrid role, with a minimum of 2 days per week in office expectation at our office in Summit, NJ. Number of in-office days could be greater in a week depending on scheduled lab events.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in CPG industry desired - customer insights, category management, space planning and/or shopper insights or relevant business experience
Experience with AV equipment troubleshooting desired
Knowledge of omni retail customer store operations, structure, strategy, and retail execution tactics

$72,675.00 - $102,600.00

Medical Technologist (Evening Shift: 4 PM - 12 AM)
Medical laboratory technician job in New Providence, NJ
Utilizes acquired expertise and specialized knowledge in the field of laboratory services to perform the following procedures: specimen accession, specimen preparation, histocompatibility testing, crossmatching, HLA antibody screening and identification, ABO typing and RBC antibody screening and identification, computer data entry and reporting, quality assurance surveys, and special assignments on a rotating basis. Evaluates test results, develops and modifies procedures, and establishes and monitors programs to ensure the accuracy of tests. Serves as a mentor to all newly hired and experienced medical technologists. Accepts shift, weekend and on-call (including holiday on-call) rotating assignments. Responsible for timely compliance with all Network programs and policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs HLA typing and crossmatching and antibody screening/ identification according to approved procedures, applies relevant theories of HLA typing, selects appropriate screening or crossmatch method, and interprets the results. Identifies appropriate specimens for storage in the freezer at the conclusion of testing.
Reads, understands and complies with Network and Laboratory policies and procedures, N.J. and N.Y. State Dept. of Health, CAP, ASHI, and UNOS regulations and standards.
Performs immunohematology procedures consistent with accepted protocols.
Accepts on-call, bench teaching and monitoring of students or residents assigned to the lab and other special assignments.
Serves as Mentor and supports newly hired and experienced medical technologists in all aspects of organization and laboratory responsibilities. Teaches, trains, guides and imparts specialized knowledge and expertise, teaches missing skills, provides a forum for feedback and communications.
Performs required computer data entry procedures according to Network and UNOS policies and procedures in order to reduce and normalize test results for the purposes of analysis and interpretation.
Performs specimen accession procedures according to laboratory protocol, establishes and implements policies to reject specimens when criteria of accessibility for testing are not met, and assesses quality of specimens submitted, requesting a new specimen if original is unacceptable.
Prepares specimens and reagents according to approved laboratory protocols and by developing and maintaining quality control procedures, developing and implementing corrective action when necessary.
Participates in twelve hours of approved continuing education activities per year in order to maintain current knowledge and skills in the field. Completes annual task authorization. Prepares for CHT/CHS certification as appropriate.
Participates in the Quality Assurance program; participates in all proficiency testing surveys on a rotating basis.
Maintains equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly manner. Identifies and implements all necessary Network and Laboratory safety precautions, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective measures.
Plans, implements and reports to staff meetings effectively on special assignments.
Education and Experience:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Has successfully completed at least one year of professional coursework in a school of Medical Technology approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association or equivalent experience in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Technologist.
Minimum of one of the following is required: Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist; or Medical Technologist Certification, MT (ASCP BOC), or CHT/CHS (ABHI) certification.
Must obtain CHT certification to advance to Technical Specialist role.
Must obtain CHS certification along with mentoring Medical Technologists with successful completion of CHT Certification to advance to Senior Specialist role.
Must accept assignment to any shift as determined by the director to be in the best interest of the laboratory's duty to the patients.
Schedule:
Regular Evening Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, including rotational weekend, holidays, and on-call
Training Period (First 90-180 Days): Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Range:
Salary: $71,680.00 - $101,500.00

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of the basic principles and laboratory applications of biology, toxicology and chemistry and ability to apply such knowledge reliably and consistently
Knowledge of laboratory facilities, methods, equipment, materials
Ability to reliably perform and evaluate the results of clinical/forensic toxicological tests, Molecular tests, clinical blood testing (i.e. chemistry, special chemistry, hematology, serology and immunology)
Extensive knowledge of and practice following public health laboratory laws and regulations
