What You Will Do: The Clinical Laboratory Assistant will have patient exposure, and will be responsible for assisting the laboratory with blood/andrology related duties, and maintenance of computer-generated logs and reports for patient testing and billing. The Clinical Laboratory Assistant reports to the Clinical Lab Supervisor. Provide accesioning services to clinical laboratory patients according to CCRM protocols (i.e., patient identification, patient preparation, and specimen collection/labeling). Confirm all information with patient and request/facilitate any necessary changes. Prepare sample(s) for testing, ensure proper transportation/storage conditions, complete requisition forms, and maintain electronic record of all processes. Maintain sanitary work environment and follow bloodborne pathogen handling and disposal procedures per OSHA guidelines. Follow established procedure for returned shipping kits. Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some laboratory experience in Biology or Health Related fields Maintain strict confidentiality for all clinic/lab information in accordance with CCRM security and confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations.
