As a natural communicator, you will deliver clear, concise, and consistent messaging to inspire action and collaboration across teams. In addition, you'll lead, manage and develop one direct EHS report, while working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results. Key Responsibilities Include: * Be a Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the Eatontown, NJ Site Leadership Team to drive long-term actions that reduce site risks and leverage higher levels of mitigation controls. * Drive Innovation: Lead initiatives that push the boundaries of EHS excellence, executing Kaizen events and process improvements in partnership with Operations teams. * Analyze and Act: Deep dive into safety metrics, analyze trends, and allocate resources to areas with the highest safety risks. Ensure timely corrective actions where hazards exist. * Foster Ownership: Promote a culture of belonging and personal accountability for EHS by delivering impactful employee training and awareness programs. * Collaborate Globally: Partner with Medtronic's global EHS network to share and implement best practices at the Eatontown, NJ location. * Stay Ahead: Evaluate and respond to proposed regulations, collaborating with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and proactive corrective action plans. * Lead Change: Continuously review and refine EHS tools and processes to ensure ongoing improvement and impact. * Communications: Develop and deliver presentations appropriate for different audiences: Front line employees, Site Mgmt., Sr. Level executives). Must Have: Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Sciences or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience OR advanced degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Sciences or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements * Master's degree preferred. * Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in a Controlled Environmental Area (CEA) manufacturing operations environment. * Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as required to support site needs. * Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Associate in Risk Management (ARM); Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). * Experience with people leadership (3-5yrs). * Knowledge of Environmental Sustainability. * Knowledge of clean room environments specifically ISO Class 5,7&8. * Experience with establishing environmental permits and assisting in regulatory audits. * Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed organization. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Directors and VPs including delivering executive level business presentations. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
