Our MentalHealth Workers provide direct care to our clients in the form of greeting and orienting new clients, crisis de-escalation and intervention, and assisting clients with completing treatment related activities and daily life tasks. MentalHealth Workers are an essential part of our multi-disciplinary team that help to ensure the safety and dignity of our hospital's environment.

Work Expectations
A MentalHealth Worker needs to be a good communicator, with both clients and staff. This includes having a high school level reading and writing skills, legible handwriting, ability to maintain information as highly confidential, telephone etiquette and customer service skills. Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology

Ideal candidates demonstrate leadership skills as well as a good teamwork mentality, and role model positive qualities when dealing with challenging situations. Time management and multi-tasking are important, as well being able to creative solve problems in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities
Position Overview:
Provides psychotherapeutic services and support for youth (ages 0-26) and their caregivers. Provides assessment and diagnosis for psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders. Makes recommendations and implements appropriate treatments plans, then monitors progress through follow-up sessions and/or regular meetings. Serves as a member of interdisciplinary team consulting with physicians, APPs, nurses, psychiatrists, and medical staff. Assures the deliverance of quality treatment to patients utilizing best practices and standards of care. Provides appropriate coordination of resources, referrals, and support in an effort to meet the total needs of the patient.
The Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician supports the implementation and coordination of the Collaborative Care for Youth Innovation grant. This position operates within a Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) and Primary Care Behavioral Model (PCBH), integrating behavioral health into pediatric and young adult primary care settings. The Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating mentalhealth conditions, offering therapy and support that aligns with patients' overall healthcare goals. The role emphasizes early identification, family-centered support, and seamless transitions to appropriate care across child, adolescent, and young adult populations (ages 0-26 years).
Successful candidates will have the ability to manage common behavioral health concerns that present in primary care (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma). Candidates will be flexible in their treatment approach as well as adapt to the needs and concerns of patients up to age 26. Candidates should have comfort with utilizing psychological screening measures to assess the efficacy of their treatment plan and drive symptom improvement. The clinician will also provide clinical supervision weekly to unlicensed Behavioral Staff. This is a grant-funded position with a three-year term with possibility of extension.

Clinical Psychologist Postdoctoral Intern is the entry-level class. Interns, under functional supervision of a licensed psychologist, obtain the necessary experience toward licensure by the California State Board of Medical Examiners. Incumbents in this class are expected to obtain licensure as a Clinical Psychologist within two years of hire. Clinical Psychologist I and II are the fully licensed, professional levels. The Clinical Psychologist I is distinguished from the Clinical Psychologist II by the latter's assignment to more difficult cases or specialized populations that require additional experience. Examples of Duties

Employment Standards

Position Overview:
Provides psychotherapeutic services and support for youth (ages 0-26) and their caregivers. Provides assessment and diagnosis for psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders. Makes recommendations and implements appropriate treatments plans, then monitors progress through follow-up sessions and/or regular meetings. The Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician supports the implementation and coordination of the Collaborative Care for Youth Innovation grant. This position operates within a Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) and Primary Care Behavioral Model (PCBH), integrating behavioral health into pediatric and young adult primary care settings. The Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating mentalhealth conditions, offering therapy and support that aligns with patients' overall healthcare goals. The role emphasizes early identification, family-centered support, and seamless transitions to appropriate care across child, adolescent, and young adult populations (ages 0-26 years).
Successful candidates will have the ability to manage common behavioral health concerns that present in primary care (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma). Candidates will be flexible in their treatment approach as well as adapt to the needs and concerns of patients up to age 26. Candidates should have comfort with utilizing psychological screening measures to assess the efficacy of their treatment plan and drive symptom improvement. The clinician will also provide clinical supervision weekly to unlicensed Behavioral Staff. This is a grant-funded position with a three-year term with possibility of extension.
