MENTAL HEALTH COORDINATOR POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, clinical and/or administrative supervision, and monitoring of a Behavioral Health delivery system meeting NCCHC/ACA standards. The Behavioral Health Coordinator works with the Regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist to coordinate total contract services.
MENTAL HEALTH COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Acts as point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment programs and problem resolution as needed.
Coordinates development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of
required clinical services for inmates.
Supervises the planning, development and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
Provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services.
Monitors efforts of Behavioral Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional
manner. Provides and assigns clinical on-call duties.
Ensures treatment programs contracted are integrated and appropriately staffed.
Provides administrative support to psychiatric staff.
Coordinates the facility's Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
Attends training and meetings as required.
MENTAL HEALTH COORDINATOR REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Doctorate or Master's degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
Licensed (or license eligible with application pending) to practice psychology or social work in the state where services are being delivered.
Satisfactory background investigation report.

Position Summary
We are currently hiring full-time counseling clinicians (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT) to provide individual, couples, group, and/or family therapy to a diverse outpatient population. Clinicians manage their own caseloads with full administrative support, including scheduling, billing, credentialling, AI-enabled automated documentation (with client consent), and marketing.
Compensation
At Tailwinds, we believe every full-time licensed clinician deserves to earn at least six figures (plus benefits) on an annual basis within two years or less. Compensation is based on license type, licensure status, and tenure with the practice, and is calculated per billable clinical hour (i.e., hours billed to the client or insurance). Full-time clinicians are expected to maintain an average caseload of 25 clients per week and are eligible for benefits.

· Year 2: 55%

Base earnings range reflects good-faith estimate of gross annual earnings for a Year 1 clinician with an average caseload of at least 25 clients/week.

Reporting to the Site Administrator the Disabilities and Mental Health Coordinator is responsible for performing the following duties :
* Reviews developmental screenings by the teaching staff and Education Coordinators and referrals from the teachers and Education Coordinators for further assessment.
* Coordinates the child studies for mental health consultants: arranges observation and assessment dates, notifies teachers and parents, and ensures that all release forms are on file. Organizes the information for referrals for individual educational plans (IEPs) and IEP staffing with Lake County Public Schools, as well as IFSPs and IFSP Child & Family Team Meetings with the CFCs.
* Assists Education Coordinators in developing the Student Learning Plans and Positive Guidance plans, and assists in the implementation of plans in the classroom and refers children to local public school or CFS for services, and advocates as cases need assistance in negotiating the services at the public school or with the CFC
* Attends the staffings with the parents, advocates for and interprets the results of the IEP into work plans for the classroom teachers and parents with the Education Coordinators, provides the in-class follow-up for all IEPs from the Lake County Public Schools and work plans from the Mental Health Consultant.
* Maintains a tracking system for all program options; assessments, IEPS and up-dates,ypes of disability or special needs, and other data as needed for the PIR and other reporting.
* Assures that all files, documents and records reflect the program standards of the various entities to which the program is responsible; ensures that the documentation is complete, accurate and up to date, and that all files are secure.
* Conducts internal referral staffings at all program sites and complies with and submits statistics and other reports as directed.
* Develops and schedules the classroom observations by the Mental Health Consultant for each site. Receives and reviews the classroom observations and recommendations, and disseminates them to the classrooms and, with the Lead Teachers, ensures that the recommendations are implemented .Monitors the use of time and documentation of the Mental Health Consultant.
* In conjunction with the Education Coordinators, ensures that the IEP/IFSP goals and consultant's work plans are incorporated into the class lesson plans and observations, and the Family/Child Goal Plan.
* Ensure compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Requirements
* B.A. or B.S. in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology or related social sciences required, plus two years of classroom work in an early childhood Setting. Required
* Minimum of three years of experience in an Early Childhood Education setting
* Strong understanding of the Head Start Program Performance Standards
* Knowledge of regulations IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).

The Intern, Community Mental Health collaborates with Program Directors, Team Leaders, and Community Support Specialists to provide direct service to members. This includes but is not limited to group counseling/therapy, individual counseling/therapy, case management, teaching, assessment, assertive community treatment, job support, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and psycho-social rehabilitation services.
(This internship is designed to be completed for credit as part of a degree program. This is not a paid internship.)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Attend New Staff Orientation prior to starting the internship.
* Provides direct service to members, as indicated by the service plan, while supervised by an appropriate, designated staff person. Consistent with the intern's level of experience and training, this potentially includes but is not limited to individual counseling/therapy, case management, teaching, assessment, assertive community treatment, job support, managing medications, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group counseling/therapy. This may be done in the community or on site at a Thresholds location, but the majority of services will be provided in the community unless otherwise specified by a supervisor.
* Completion of all assigned paperwork in a timely fashion, such as individual and group documentation, attendance reports, service plans and evaluations as assigned by the supervisor.
* Provide accurate and timely information to the supervisor on all topics and issues important to the rehabilitation and well-being of Thresholds members.
* Attend staff and team meetings as assigned by a supervisor.
* Maintain a professional demeanor with members, colleagues, and collateral contacts consistent with agency ethics and code of conduct guidelines.
EDUCATION
* Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Family Therapy, or other related human service programs.
* 1st or 2nd year Master's students preferred.
EXPERIENCE
* Social service experience and/or experience working with individuals with mental illness preferred.
* Ability to synthesize and summarize information and make judgments regarding member care.
* Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide information to members and healthcare personnel.
* Demonstrated ability to function independently.
* Computer skills required; knowledge of database functions and maintenance necessary.
