Ensures that job deadlines are met and that Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules are assigned proper priority designations - gauge necessity of additional resources, and documentation of work progress. Assists in developing and disseminating detailed plans for extensive equipment repairs and overhauls; maintains oversight of the job plan and execution, tracks critical path during all projects and provides initial resource support and has direct input on activity scheduling for short term and long-term maintenance planning. Works with all site functions to develop procedures and work practices Assumes a leadership role in the day-to-day activities of the spare parts area Provides input into spare part stocking decisions based on receipt of work request, reviews scope of work, confirms job priority and requested completion dates and lead times. The La Quinta Inn & Suites is currently going through a renovation to convert to a Holiday Inn Express. This is going to be an exciting transition and we are looking to fill this position. Drug screen and back ground check will be administered. Responsibilities: Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion Estimate time and extent of repairs Perform routine preventive maintenance Maintain material and supply inventory Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary Be ready and quick with your knowledge and experience to ensure guest safety and comfort, and a safe environment that's critical to fellow associates Great team player / assisting with other departments Be on top of preventive maintenance to protect every aspect of the property, from hotel rooms and equipment to kitchen and laundry Keep operations running smoothly Respond swiftly and effectively to every emergency situation that arises during your shift.
