This coordination ensures a plan of care for patients in all stages of health needs During occasionally blood draw visits for the patients', you will be: Preparing patients before drawing blood Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly Accurately updating patient information in the organization's database Helping nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood draws Qualifications: Minimum of one year of fast-paced patient care environments, and/or HOME HEALTH office experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, basic Excel spreadsheet manipulation, typing, and data entry skills Associate Degree or High School Graduate Phlebotomy license Excellent customer service and presentation skills are a must Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects effectively Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
