Visual acuity essential for tasks include identifying, observing and inspecting written communications, electronic information, work products of direct reports, and complex technical analysis of materials either from written or computer sources; and setting up equipment and other peripheral devices. Work performed and delivered is guided by precise deadlines. High cognitive demands include strong attention to detail, ability to focus for long periods of time, data-analysis, critical thinking, information synthesis and adherence to a clear and logical process. Excellent communication skills, customer service abilities, and multitasking are also essential for success in this role. Work is occasionally performed at different locations with or without other library staff and the incumbent may need to drive on library business.
