As an ECB (as needed) Admissions Specialist, you will help cover Saturdays (during the day), heavy patient days, PTO days, call ins, etc. In the beginning, this position will need to work part-time or full-time hours to get oriented. This position does not come with benefits.
As an Admissions Specialist, you are responsible for interviewing patients and completing admission process, ensuring hospital records are accurate and informing patients of hospital's policies.
What's required of you? High school graduate or equivalent.
Do I need experience? One year in medical or dental front office, billing office, or admissions.
Specialty Knowledge Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of medical office terminology. Computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and data entry skills.
Hours of Work: Various Days/Shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

The OSH Internship aims to provide students interested in healthcare careers the opportunity to gain practical experience while offering valuable exposure to a healthcare setting. The program lasts approximately 8 weeks - beginning June 1st and ending July 24th. Interns work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and are placed in both clinical and non-clinical departments throughout OSH.
