The role
The Design engineer will report directly to the Design Manager and will work closely with the Project Manager, and liaise with the Client, Design Consultants and relevant stakeholders in all matters related to Design and Engineering. Key Responsibilities
* Tendering design packages from project briefs received by the Client - understand scope and negotiate offers upstream and downstream.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and equipment selection assistance to engineers, contractors, and architects.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, manufacturers, and internal teams.

Ideal Candidates:

Strong understanding of HVAC principles and system components
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HVAC selection software

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and analyzing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and products using SolidWorks and/or SolidEdge software.
Create and modify detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings with appropriate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs meet functional and production requirements.
Develop prototypes and test models, assisting with design revisions based on feedback.
Maintain organized and accurate CAD file structures and support Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the product development process.
Assist in material selection for products and generate necessary design documentation and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting and Design Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a CAD design or engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks and/or SolidEdge.
In-depth knowledge of design principles, engineering standards, and manufacturing methods (e.g., machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing).
Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems is highly valued.
Soft Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, with an average annual salary in Florida for a CAD Engineer ranging from $52,300 to $89,300, plus a revenue-sharing program.
