Design roller chain components, assemblies, and accessories in solid modelling or equivalent software using established industry GD&T principles.
Perform product-related contract review on new customer orders and product configurations.
Define performance criteria for roller chain designs, including key properties such as dimensions, materials, hardness, etc.
Generate component and assembly manufacturing routings.
Evaluate existing roller chain product for quality, performance, and cost improvement. Facilitate engineering changes to support improvements, and train employees as needed.
Write and maintain specifications for the various roller chain product lines, and control per the ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
Write and facilitate qualification plans for new product designs and adaptations to ensure that planned changes meet their intended acceptance criteria. Include, as necessary, statistical methods and design of experiments methodology.
Provide technical support to both external customers (salesmen, distributors, end-users) and internal customers (production, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, planning)
Provide product engineering training for a variety of audiences including employees, customers, and sales.
Lead or support internal improvement projects. Continuously improve the operation.
Participate in quality and safety audits to ensure conformity to ISO and OSHA regulations.
Facilitate Design Review meetings with manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and production departments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Three plus years of related experience
CAD, design, verbal and written communication
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Key Functions
Initiate, prepare, review, develop, track, and distribute submittals and RFIs through Procore.
Track file documentation (e.g., correspondence, reports, etc.) in Procore daily to follow-up on and/or summarize project issues, agreements, communications with owners and subcontractors, etc.
Reconcile paperwork with the Owner's Field Rep to ensure accurate and proper completion of timesheets.
Engage the work crews in conversation on both the technical and safety aspects of the job.
Confirm installation is in accordance with specification and/or manufacturers' recommendation.
Conduct daily log entries. Ensure progress photos are taken, cut sheets, field drawing marked up, T&E sheets verified/signed (if any), and constructed field measurements are completed daily.
Interface with Cost Engineer to track invoices and receipts for field purchase orders and maintain field purchase order files and documentation.
Coordinate fabrication and delivery of materials with project CPM, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
Interface with Cost Engineer to code and approve PO invoices, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Project Support team.
Review and submit quantities to owner for approval.
Assist the Project Manager in budget analysis and cost projections.
Assist in management of all subcontractors.
Gather and submit closeout documentation.
Assist Project Manager with projections and costs to complete.
Desired Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably Civil Engineering.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.

Perform additional fire and life safety inspections as per NFPA and local jurisdiction, C&W standards, building protocol and as directed by superiors and property management

Understand heat treatment specifications as they relate to the bearing designs.

Work with the manufacturing division personnel to develop methods of bearing inspection.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Mechanical Design preferred.

DESCRIPTION:
The RBC Division is in search of an Application / Design Engineer to be located in our corporate office in Oxford, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for both design and application of spherical plain bearings reporting to the SPB Product Engineering Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Work directly with RBC customers to satisfy their application needs. Support our external sales and business management personnel by making visits to customers to promote RBC's capabilities.
Convert customer requirements into bearing designs.
Derive application loading, cycles, and other operating conditions relevant to the bearing application. Based on these inputs, select or alter existing bearing designs to meet customer requirements.
Develop new bearing designs as needed
Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA events related to product / design application
When needed, develop bearing testing requirements for validation of a proposed design. Work closely with test engineers in conducting validation testing
Develop manufacturing, grinding, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
Understand heat treatment specifications as they relate to the bearing designs.
Work directly with our manufacturing plants to ensure the proper production of the product designed.
Work with the manufacturing division personnel to develop methods of bearing inspection.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Mechanical Design preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3-10 years as Mechanical Engineer or related experience.
Bearing experience is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude
SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
US citizenship is required.

What You Will Do:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our engineering team in Bridgeport, WV as a Staff Engineer. This position focuses on supporting aircraft engines through overhaul and repair processes, including but not limited to disassembly, clean line, NDT, detail inspection, assembly, and test cell. You will provide support to our engine shop and play a key role in our efficiency and ability to return engines to service in a timely manner. To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced engineer with previous experience answering technical questions, solving complex technical problems, and providing guidance on the disposition of engines, engine parts and accessories. You will also study, develop, assess, and roll out new methods to process the engines (e.g., new inspection limits, new repairs, new methods of disassembly/assembly/test, etc.).
Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Key Responsibilities:
Tracks and reports trends in the conditions of the engines, engine parts and accessories and engine test trends.
Implements new or revised inspection limits, modifications, repairs, etc. based on the observed trends.
Work with other departments within the broader company as required to achieve project goals.
Apply continuous improvement methodology in all tasks in an effort to improve shop processes: man-hours, turn-around time, cost of poor quality, etc.
On an as-needed basis, provides/coordinates training on various technical topics such as rotor balancing, failure mode analysis/identification, etc.
Works with Customer Service and Sales in the development of specifications that define the work to be performed on the engines while in the shop (e.g. how accessories are processed, what Service Bulletins to perform, how to manage life limited parts, etc.).
Primary workload is a mix of longer-term projects that span durations of weeks or months along with more immediate-term tasks. Work is approximately 50% in the shop and 50% at your desk.

Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in a similar job function.
* Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for process/equipment tool sets.
* Experience in the preventative maintenance of tool sets.
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Computer hardware/software experience a plus.
* Able to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
* Optical alignment experience a plus.
* Competent with a DVM and Oscilloscope.

A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering is required. Candidates with an Associate degree in a related technical field will also be considered for an Equipment Engineering Technician role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Naval Reactors Engineers have oversight of the Navy's entire fleet of nuclear-powered ships as well as shore-based prototypes and nuclear propulsion support facilities for Americas Navy. The wide array of technical areas involved in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program include:
Reactor and fluid systems design
Reactor physics
Materials development
Component design such as steam generators, pumps and valves
Instrumentation and control of reactor, steam and electric plants
Testing and quality control
Shielding
Chemistry and radiological controls
As a Navy Reactors Engineer stationed at Naval Reactors Headquarters in Washington, D.C., you will provide technical oversight while managing projects ranging from reactor design to fleet operations to de-fueling and decommissioning warships.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizen between the ages of 19 and 29. Exceptions may be possible up to age 40.
Graduate or current student pursuing a B.A., B.S. or M.S. (preferably major in mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry or other technical areas).
Those still in school may apply as early as 18 months from completion of an undergraduate degree for Naval Reactors Engineers.
Applicants may also join the NUPOC program as early as 12 months from completion of a master's degree.
Additional academic requirements include:
Completed one academic year of calculus
Completed one academic year of calculus-based physics
A competitive GPA and a minimum grade of "B" in all technical courses
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether youre currently serving, whether youve served before or whether youve never served before.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Preliminary training and eventual staff assignments center around Naval Reactors Headquarters at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. At Headquarters, you will be a part of an elite, streamlined staff of roughly 500 people who oversee the entire Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program from cradle to grave.
Even junior-level Naval Reactors Engineers assume responsibility for key technical work in a variety of state-of-the-art facilities, including:
