What's the role?
Shipping Operator is an entry level position. Under close supervision where operations and sequences are specified by written and verbal instructions and established practices, the Shipping Operator will perform routine production duties associated with the lens manufacturing processes.
Exceptional attendance record and acute attention to detail are essential to all job functions. Good verbal and written communication and an ability to read English and identify number recognition are also critical skill sets. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task production environment essential. May require vision and / or color hue recognition testing. Must be able to sit, stand, twist and bend for extended periods of time. Must follow safety guidelines with the ability to identify and understand safety items. This includes the ability to keep a clean working environment. Must have a flexible schedule and work overtime when needed. Must have the ability to work in a team setting or independently, as needed. A strong desire to learn is critical, including a positive attitude and approach to work.. Job Purpose
To operate and monitor milling and sifting equipment used in the fine metal refining process, ensuring materials are reduced, sorted, and processed according to quality and safety standards that support Sibanye-Stillwater Reldan's global recycling mission.
Key Responsibilities
Operate ball milling and sifting machinery to reduce and refine processed materials.
Identify, sort, and process metals according to type and job instructions.
Maintain consistent operation of equipment in a hot and noisy industrial environment.
Perform cleaning, descaling, and basic maintenance of equipment as needed.
Record data accurately and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Follow ISO 9001 quality standards and all company safety procedures.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in milling, construction, cement mixing, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, or recycling preferred.
Strong math, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Physical and Safety Requirements
Must have reliable, independent transportation (remote location with no public transit).
Ability to lift and move heavy materials regularly.
Comfortable working on your feet in a hot, industrial environment.
Must be able to wear full PPE, including a Tyvek suit, hearing protection, and supplied air respirator (fit test required).
Must comply with all corporate health and safety standards.
Compliance Requirements
Employment in this position requires compliance with NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) standards and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements. Candidates must meet all applicable compliance criteria to be eligible for employment.
Schedule
Shift: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Location: Fairless Hills, PA - onsite only (no remote or hybrid options).

In West Philadelphia, in 1945, Nick Falcone Sr. began Nick Falcone & Sons by offering residential concrete, new development work, flat concrete & curb work. In 1960, Nick Falcone Jr. & his brother John Falcone expanded the business into heavy highway work & concrete roadway paving. In the late 1970's the company thrived on commercial, new residential developments & heavy highway work. The ownership then changed to the third generation of Falcone's in 1986. With continued success, the business expanded into municipal work & commercial site development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Safely operate heavy equipment, including large excavators, dozers, graders, and loaders, as required for commercial construction projects.
Use GPS technology to navigate and operate equipment accurately, even in tight spaces and around utilities.
Perform deep trench work, including the use of trench boxes and shoring, digging up to 20' deep depending on the project.
Read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans to ensure accurate operation of equipment.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of machinery to ensure optimal operation.
Coordinate with site supervisors to plan, organize, and execute activities related to earthmoving, site preparation, and material handling.
Assist in the loading and transporting of materials and equipment to and from the job site.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any incidents or unsafe conditions to the site manager immediately.
Manage and maintain logs of equipment use, maintenance, and repair.
The ideal candidate should possess:
Proven experience operating large-scale heavy construction equipment, particularly big excavators and deep trench work.
Valid operator's license and clean driving record.
Strong understanding of construction operations and safety practices, with an emphasis on working safely around utilities and in tight spaces.
Physical fitness to handle manual and machinery operations.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and in varying weather conditions as project demands.
Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of GPS-guided equipment is a must.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy equipment operation preferred.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Commitment to safety, especially when team members are working in trenches.
