Position Summary Bridge Brothers is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support our fabrication and yard operations. This role involves operating cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to safely move large and long lengths of steel-some up to 70 feet. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with cranes and rigging, understands safe material handling practices, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation & Material Handling ● Safely operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to move and position steel beams, bridge components, and materials up to 70 feet in length. ● Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are properly rigged, balanced, and secured. ● Support production and fabrication teams by staging and delivering materials to the appropriate work areas. ● Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs immediately. ● Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper load handling procedures are used at all times. Yard & Logistics ● Maintain an organized and clean yard, ensuring materials are clearly labeled and safely stored. ● Assist with loading and shipping finished bridge components. ● Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to prioritize material movement for ongoing projects. ● Support inventory control by accurately tracking material movement and locations.
