Your work will directly affect people's lives! Location- Monroeville, PA Rotating Shift: Work Schedule: 1st shift, Mon-Fri. (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) and 2nd shift, Mon-Thur. (2:00 pm - 12:00 am) Shift differential for 2nd shift. Shift Rotates every week. Pay Rate: $47,150 annually, non-exempt + OT. Depending on skill(s) and experience higher rate of pay may be considered. Key Responsibilities Multi-step organic reactions in a plant environment (50 L to 400 L scale). Running reactions/purifications according to batch sheet. Modify batch sheets and other procedures as needed. Collaborate effectively with variety of people with minimal supervision. The position involves blending, measuring, and producing raw materials to manufacture industrial coatings. You will work in a production environment with a high level of safety awareness and adhere to all appropriate safety procedures in place. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Production and scale experience in a similar plant or laboratory environment. Chemical and manufacturing experience preferred. Exposure to some inorganic and organic college chemistry lab experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and high level of safety awareness. Attention to detail and documentation skills and excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong problem solving, initiative, and knowledge of PC applications.
