Responsibilities
Drives a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.

Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods.

Qualifications
All city tractor trailer drivers must have two years of verifiable interstate driving experience or a minimum of one year of verifiable interstate driving experience and a diploma from an accredited driving school that PITT OHIO approves.
All Drivers must pass a PITT OHIO driving test administered by an approved PITT OHIO Trainer.
All Drivers except sprinter truck drivers will be required to possess or obtain within 90 days a Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsement on their current valid driver's license issued by the resident state in which they reside.
All drivers to possess only one valid driver's license issued by the resident state of the driver. Operators who have recently transferred from another state must produce a copy of the former license or provide license information for verification from that state. Drivers will need to provide information on all previously held licenses within the past 36-month period.
No record of a driver's license suspension or revocation for more than 30 days, covering the 36-month period prior to the order date of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). A suspension for failure to pay and/or failure to appear will be considered provided that there was no conviction for driving while suspended during this time period.
No record of citation or conviction for any serious traffic violation during the 60-month period prior to the order date of a Motor Vehicle Record.
No past pattern or record of citations or convictions for more than three motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
No past pattern or record of involvement in more than one at-fault traffic accident and no more than two motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the MVR.
Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen. Pitt Ohio must receive a negative result.
PITT OHIO must receive a negative controlled substance and alcohol result from prior employer(s) for the past three-year period. No prior evidence of controlled substance use.
There must be no instance of refusal to submit to an Alcohol or Controlled Substance test within the past 3-year period including a pre-employment test.
Must consent to a ten-year check on work history. Any gap of 30 days or more must be indicated and explained, you may be asked to provide documentation. Discrepancies may prevent your application from being processed and job offer withdrawn.
Must have the ability to read and write the English language and also perform simple mathematical calculations.

Job Description
The Delivery Driver Assistant is responsible for assisting our Delivery Drivers with delivering solid wood Amish furniture to our customers. The right candidate will have a chauffeur's license and DOT medical certificate or willing to obtain both prior to starting work. Delivery Driver Assistants are expected to act as a backup driver if a Delivery Driver is unable to complete the route or for other unforeseen reasons. Assistants also work in the warehouse as needed when not on trips.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with delivery and set up of furniture in our customers' homes while providing an exceptional customer experience.
Calling customers to give estimated times of arrival.
Being attentive while on the road to help ensure safe travel.
Assist with loading and unloading our truck at woodshops and the warehouse, utilizing time saving and organization skills while also taking care not to damage the furniture.
Assist with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Ensure delivery delivery paperwork and online communication forms are filled out properly.
Pull, package, and ship products for our Amazon platform to provide timely and accurate shipments.
Follow all safety standards and requirements within the warehouse according to company policy and OSHA and notify the supervisor of all safety concerns, incidents, and/or accidents.
Check all products for quality issues to reduce customer service claims.
Qualifications
Must have or be able to obtain a chauffer's license and DOT certification for secondary driving support as needed.
1-2 years of local delivery experience preferred.
Experience interacting with customers preferred.
Be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.
High school diploma or equivalent is .
Physical Environment
This position requires multiple night travel while making deliveries in other states.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit in the passenger side of a box truck for most of the workday.
The employee is regularly required to stand and walk on a concrete floor; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; operate a pallet jack and hand truck, and regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
Special vision requirements are near vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Warehouse is humidity controlled.
Compensation & Benefits
Full-time position with compensation of $45,000 - $50,000/year. Driver Assistants receive $12/stop and $0.38/mile while on the road and $20/hour while working in the warehouse including loading and unloading their truck. Per diem rates for food and lodging while traveling are also provided.

Load and unload trucks to deliver products in a safe, timely and courteous manner.

Professionally deliver products to internal and external customer sites
Responsible for knowing the equipment (forklift, hose, pump, etc.) and process operations of
