PPG's Aerospace division is seeking a Material Handler! Employees may be assigned to the PPG warehouse in Pooler, GA or the Gulfstream customer site in Savannah, GA.This position requires the use of, or access to, information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). What You'll Do
At our Pooler, GA warehouse, you will receive inventory from PPG locations as well as third party suppliers. You will utilize a standup forklift, manual pallet jack or electric pallet jack to move and store a variety of products and chemicals in the warehouse. You will pull orders from the warehouse, label and wrap the orders to be sent to the customer facility in Savannah, GA. At the customer facility in Savannah, GA, you will be responsible for breaking down the pallets by your assigned area and distributing products and chemicals to the point of use. Key Responsibilities
• Unload and load trucks utilizing manual/electric pallet jacks
• Label and deliver products and chemicals to warehouse or point of use locations
• Accurately pick orders and prepare for shipment including wrapping pallets
• Safely load/unload frozen sealant inventory from totes or chest freezers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse at all times
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Operate stand up forklift as needed Basic Qualifications
• Ability to obtain PPG forklift certification
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Must maintain a valid driver's license
• Must pass a federal and state criminal background check including MVR (motor vehicle record) prior to employment Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Drive a box truck and transit van for local deliveries.
Will load and unload product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
Will use a forklift and liftgate to load and unload from truck at locations without a loading dock.
Will also perform material handler duties including:
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.
May operate a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks or gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
Uses electronic application on mobile device and scanner to process orders and prepare inventory for delivery to customer site.
Applies RFID and barcode labels to incoming inventory, paying attention to detail for accuracy of part number and lot number.
Read production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conducts cycle count for inventory accuracy, and ensures first-in-first-out of shelf-life sensitive chemical products.
Qualifications
CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
Previous driving experience in box truck or larger highly preferred.
Previous Warehouse experience highly preferred.
Previous forklift experience/certification preferred.
Required to lift up to 50lbs as needed.
Valid driver's license and good driving record required.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load solid waste into the rear or side of waste collection vehicle

Operate equipment on truck to compact trash/materials into vehicle
Audit waste collection vehicle for proper equipment prior to leaving branch (i.e., broom, shovel, etc.).
Report all customer related problems to driver immediately
Identify, tag and notify driver of prohibited waste items and remove the items from the waste cart or can.
Follow all safety and equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all federal, state, local and company rules on safety and vehicle operation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposed to unpleasant sights and smells. The unavoidable, externally imposed conditions under which the work must be performed, and which create hardship including the frequency and duration of occurrence of physical demands, environmental conditions, demands on one's senses and mental demands.
