FUNCTIONAL SKILLS * Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required. * Must be able to perform mathematics with general ability to handle receipts, invoices, read maps; read and understand road signs and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) logs. * Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations concerning safe driving, hours or service, maintenance, inspections and service. * Knowledge of on-board tracking systems preferred. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS * Valid CMV and Class A CDL certifications required. * Acceptable MVR required. * A minimum of 1 years experience with valid CDL within the past 3 years * Military experience may be used to fulfill the experience requirement provided the candidate's primary Military Operating Specialty (MOS) was that of a truck driver operating vehicles similar to the type of equipment utilized by Trans Papa Logistics. (DD 214 will be requested). * Graduation from commercial driving or technical school is desired. * Possession of a valid commercial driver's license must be issued by the resident state of the driver. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * Must be able to be on call as needed. * Frequent bending for placement of wheel chocks PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to sit and drive safely while remaining alert for long periods of time (up to 11 hours). Perform frequent bending, squatting and lifting of weight up to 60 pounds overhead with no assistance. Must be able to accomplish duties in different outdoor weather conditions.
