Basic Qualifications
BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

The Pharmacy Manager role includes:

The Medication Safety Pharmacy develops, implements, and evaluates the Medication Safety Program. This involves system and process evaluation, formulation of recommendations, coordination of intervention strategies, and monitoring of reports related to medication safety.

Research medication safety, opioid stewardship and drug diversion prevention best practices, national and regional benchmarks, and industry standards.
Lead regulatory compliance and quality improvement efforts.
Act as consultant to clinical leaders and teams in identifying risk reduction and improvement opportunities. Works collaboratively to develop improvement projects.
Establish and maintain an effective drug diversion education program for all staff and providers as appropriate for their work responsibilities.
Develop policies and procedures SOPs, and patient education material.
Participate in pharmacy and hospital committees as required.

Qualifications
Required:
Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy

* Educate patients on safe approach to taking their medication, including ensuring patients understand this in different languages.

This position is responsible for the clinical pharmacy functions of the military treatment facility (MTF).
1. Incumbent serves as the MTF expert on pharmaceuticals, polypharmacy and pharmacotherapeutics.
