Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hClientardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy. Experience: Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience required (CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Rite Aid, or similar). Experience counseling patients on medications and managing high-volume prescription workflows. Experience entering and verifying prescription data in pharmacy computer systems. Skills: MUST be Licensed in IL Retail Pharmacy experience (i.e. CVS, Walgreens, Target etc) Prefer at least one year history and prefer it to be with a retail organization i.e. Walgreens/CVS Multi-tasking Great Communication Skills Self-motivating Education: PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
