The Chocolate Production Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring chocolate dropline equipment to ensure consistent, high‑quality product output.
This role plays a key part in daily production by preparing machinery, verifying ingredient readiness, adjusting operating parameters, and maintaining smooth line performance throughout the shift. Operators troubleshoot issues in real time, uphold strict food‑safety and sanitation standards, and document production activity to support traceability and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include equipment setup, line start‑up, quality checks, machine adjustments, and end‑of‑shift cleaning and shutdown. Shift: Night Shift - 12 Hour Shifts, work 7 consecutive days on followed by 7 consecutive days off.
Compensation: $25.00/hourly plus $0.40 shift differential
Key Accountabilities
* Operate processing and packaging equipment
* Monitor overall product quality, complete required checks as well as associated daily production paperwork
* Clean and inspect equipment and work areas
* Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
* Detail clean all assigned area of the plant
* Record and maintain sanitation records and sign off on completed projects on the master sanitation schedule. The use of a computer will be required.
* Work safely with cleaning chemicals used at the plant

Position Summary
We are hiring for a PlantOperator to work in our Renewable Power Plant. This position reports to a Lead PlantOperator and is located in Birdsboro, PA. The PlantOperator is responsible for the direction of all day-to-day activities in a reciprocating engine landfill gas power generation facility. The goals of this position are to maximize production and minimize downtime with the utmost regard to safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Operate, monitor, and maintain large reciprocating gas engines (Caterpillar 3500 series gensets) and associated auxiliary equipment.
* Maintain detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, service schedules and equipment outages.
* Check all operating equipment daily including flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, pressure and temperature readings, and unusual noises to correct conditions before failure occurs.
* Perform all maintenance and repairs on the operating equipment including oil and filter changes, replacement and repair of valves, blowers, compressors, and other plant equipment, as necessary. Participate in preventative maintenance outages and overhauls.
* Maintain a high level of cleanliness in and around the plant. Keep oil from accumulating on the unit skids, floors, and soil around the plant. Keep weeds and shrubs cleaned from the plant yard and perimeter fence. Keep equipment and floors looking as presentable as possible.
* Keep all on-site parts and supplies stocked and well organized. Maintain plant inventory.
* Respond to call outs in a timely manner. Identify and correct the cause of the call out. If the problem cannot be corrected or diagnosed, it is the responsibility of the operator to contact the area manager to get the help required to fix the situation.
* Operate the plant with a clear focus on safety. Clean up spills immediately. Make sure all lighting systems are fully functional; no slip or trip hazards are consistently present; and no electrical or mechanical hazards go on for long periods of time without attention. Affirm that all plant visitors, mechanics, and outside contractors are following safe work practices.
* Works with internal resources to resolve problems.
* Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, and safety requirements.
* Clearly communicate all material/personnel issues with the area managers.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
* Diesel/large reciprocating engines operation and maintenance experience is required.
* Must possess good mechanical skills.
* Basic electrical knowledge is preferred.

* Oversee pasteurizing process insuring that products are heated to specified temperature and held for required period of time

About the role

As an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld's industrial disposal process.
Position Responsibilities:
Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, systems include, but are not exclusively limited to boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment
Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices
Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations
Monitor air pollution control equipment
Perform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required
Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, such as: cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts
Responsible to maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment, and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations
Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating heavy industrial equipment
Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

* 3rd Shift - 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM * Operates water treatment equipment at a City water treatment plant for the proper pumping, treatment and filtering of water and for maintaining proper water flow and pressure for the City.
* Monitors supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for membrane plant and makes adjustments as necessary.
* Operates high service finished water pumps, chlorinators, dry and liquid chemical feeders, filters, electric motors and other water plant equipment in order to produce clean, pure and potable water.

Licenses and Certificates
* Possession of a valid Pennsylvania State Driver's License is required; a CDL Class B driver's license is preferred.
* Possession of a Class "A" Waterworks Operator Certification with all subclasses required by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to make process control decisions at the City of Lancaster's water plants within three (3) years.
* Knowledge of safe practices related to the water treatment plant.
* Proven ability to use, adjust and note defects in mechanical and electrical equipment is required; experience in the equipment used in a water filtration/pumping plant is preferred.
* Proven ability in taking accurate readings, keeping accurate records and making mathematical computations is required.
* Proven ability to identify and analyze problems and determine remedial action is required.

Job Description
The person in this position will be required to use various hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, electric drill, brooms) in the maintenance and operation of a water treatment plant and waste water treatment plant. Employee will be required to have constant observation of water and waste water treatment process, maintenance and minor repair of process equipment. Employee to frequently perform analysis on water quality throughout the entire treatment process. Recording of water or waste water sampling results with good penmanship is a must. Employee will operate hand wheel operated gate valves, as well as, electrically actuated equipment. Employee will be required to perform house cleaning duties in the plant and on equipment. General maintenance of grounds is also a duty and could include operation of hand tools, chain saw, weed eater, lawn mower, or riding mower with attachments.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Employee must possess a valid Class "C" Pennsylvania Drivers License. Employee must have the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Employee must be willing and capable of performing responsibilities with a minimum of supervision. Must be capable of dealing with the public in a courteous and responsible manner.
