Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION: Position is responsible for the efficient management of assigned plant and operations. This position has direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality, workmanship, and completion of assigned projects on time and within the estimated budget. This position may include duties within, but not be limited to: Asphalt Material, Equipment, Plant, and Electrical. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1.) Supervise and direct crew to assure completion of assigned project as instructed by the superintendent and/or other manager. Includes human resources and employee related matters. 2.) See that new personnel receive proper orientation to acquaint them with company policies, safety requirements, and job responsibilities. 3.) Conduct periodic evaluation of assigned personnel with special emphasis on their contribution to the company and our contribution to them. 4.) Assist and direct crews in proper use of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost and quality of work, increasing productivity, improving communication and housekeeping on project. 5.) Perform equipment inspections, request maintenance and repairs as needed. 6.) Order materials as needed for the project or operation of the plant. 7.) Monitor assigned personnel and maintain regular work hours. Maintain daily payroll records and log hours worked for each employee assigned to you. 8.) Complete all required daily reports, verify their accuracy and transmit promptly to the supervisor. 9.) Ensure all work complies with OSHA, MSHA, local laws, ordinances, and EPA regulations. 10.) Ensure all work is performed with an emphasis on safety. Insist upon compliance of all safety regulations. Conduct daily huddle meetings with safety as the primary agenda. 11.) Maintain good relations with the general public, engineers, architects, inspectors and customers to facilitate job progress and to promote a positive company image. Develop a courteous and considerate attitude toward these groups. 12.) Work long, flexible hours as demanded by our customers including nights, weekends, and work outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year. 13.) Perform necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures. 14.) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Must be a minimum of 21 years old Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in asphalt plant operations Experience with NCDOT requirements Physical Demands: Light physical effort required including pulling and lifting or moving materials up to 20 pounds. Job Description Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any issues or maintenance needs. All operators are expected to work as a team and use consensus decision making to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch numbers, quantities, and quality control measures. Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices for improved efficiency. Read and act upon daily area operating instructions. Work regularly assigned shifts and provide a fair and equitable amount of overtime for co-worker absences, illnesses, vacations, holidays, etc. Assist in materials handling, including the safe transport of chemicals within the facility. Adhere to all safety protocols and SOP guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to machining, fabrication, and forklift operation. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Process Technology degree or certification Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently 2-3 years' experience working with machinery, mechanical, and chemical processes No fear of heights or confined spaces Experience with materials handling techniques and safety practices. Process Expert (Chemical Operator) in production unit will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting equipment, assisting maintenance, and maintaining environment. Process Experts are required to learn all jobs in the unit including floor operations and control room, understand and follow all Site and Unit Safety procedures and protocols, and perform all functions necessary to chemical manufacturing. Responsibilities: Perpetuates a culture of safety, quality, reliability, and engagement with all colleagues, contractor, and guests in the unit. Conduct routine checks on equipment and proactively report, mitigate, and solve emerging issues. Operate field equipment (e.g., valves, pumps) to perform operations tasks per SOP. Conduct Behavior Based Observations (BBO) and communicates HazRecs and Near Miss incidents. Provide inputs to improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Energy Isolation Plans (EIPs), provide updates and changes as needed. Generates ideas and improvement projects. Start up and shutdown of process equipment in a safe manner. Attend training to improve and maintain production processes as required. LOTO equipment and issues safe work permits to turn over equipment to maintenance for repairs and participate in return to service of equipment. Housekeeping of area, participate in 5S. Performs preliminary troubleshooting on equipment and process malfunctions and make first attempt repairs where appropriate. Strictly follows all batch recipe sheets and instructions. Working under the supervision of the Recovery Shift Foreman, full time Recovery Utility Operator III's responsibilities require the ability to perform various duties in an industrial environment and include, but are not limited to the following: Add or mix chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices. Clean and maintain equipment in a safe and orderly condition. Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing as required. Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment for processing. Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually, in order to ensure conformance to established standards. Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Assist operations personnel as assigned daily. Read Standard Operating Procedures, directions and guidelines to perform duties as assigned. Operate mixing or blending machines and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures as directed. Follow established safety procedures. Perform equipment specific lockouts. Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools as needed. All duties performed must follow ADM and OSHA safety regulations , Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Quality Assurance (QA) specifications. Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job include but are not limited to: Ability to read and write. Computer literacy, i.e., keyboarding and mouse use. Ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule. Ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to drive a forklift. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Job Summary The Mechanics will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -- * Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment. * Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly * Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations * Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime * Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts * Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones * Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts * Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts * Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers. * Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor * Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition. Job Description POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Position is responsible for the efficient management of assigned plant and operations. This position has direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality, workmanship, and completion of assigned projects on time and within the estimated budget. This position may include duties within, but not be limited to: Asphalt Material, Equipment, Plant, and Electrical. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1.) Supervise and direct crew to assure completion of assigned project as instructed by the superintendent and/or other manager. Includes human resources and employee related matters. 2.) See that new personnel receive proper orientation to acquaint them with company policies, safety requirements, and job responsibilities. 3.) Conduct periodic evaluation of assigned personnel with special emphasis on their contribution to the company and our contribution to them. 4.) Assist and direct crews in proper use of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost and quality of work, increasing productivity, improving communication and housekeeping on project. 5.) Perform equipment inspections, request maintenance and repairs as needed. 6.) Order materials as needed for the project or operation of the plant. 7.) Monitor assigned personnel and maintain regular work hours. Maintain daily payroll records and log hours worked for each employee assigned to you. 8.) Complete all required daily reports, verify their accuracy and transmit promptly to the supervisor. 9.) Ensure all work complies with OSHA, MSHA, local laws, ordinances, and EPA regulations. 10.) Ensure all work is performed with an emphasis on safety. Insist upon compliance of all safety regulations. Conduct daily huddle meetings with safety as the primary agenda. 11.) Maintain good relations with the general public, engineers, architects, inspectors and customers to facilitate job progress and to promote a positive company image. Job Description: Perform general labor duties including a designated spotter for trucks and equipment on an asphalt paving lay down crew or grading crew. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Performs various unskilled task which are associated with asphalt paving and/or grading operations. This includes but not limited shoveling asphalt, stone or dirt. Uses various tools such as a shovel, rake, lute, broom, pick, hammer, saw, pneumatic hammer, drill, tamp and concrete saw. May operate a farm type tractor with power broom attachment.
