Performs pressure testing on newly installed plumbing systems; inspects to ensure that installation conforms to local, state, and federal codes and regulations and contract specifications; and makes final inspection to ensure all fixtures are in place and property connected. Performs renovations or repairs to swimming pools; monitors pool water, chlorine levels, and sand filters; installs chlorinators and injectors; maintains and/or replaces valves, lint strainers, motors, pumps, filters, and sand; ensures compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations Determines materials and equipment needed to complete work activities; prepares and submits purchase requisitions; orders materials; and maintains related documentation. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: Will have the general responsibility to provide support and assistance to the other skilled workers working on the project. Will be involved in the general installation of pipe, Dig Dirt using shovels Lift & carry objects & materials of various weights Grade ditch using level or laser Prolonged use of jackhammer Help maintain equipment by keeping it clean and in proper working order. Report any damaged or unsafe equipment to foreman immediately, never assume he already knows, and do not use until repaired or replaced. Practice safety at all times including driving of company vehicles or use of equipment. Use PPE while on jobsite e.g., hard hat safety glasses, ear protection, high visibility vest, pants, and gloves. Take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done. Shown abilities and willingness to learn and understand your role on the team Help maintain inventory of material and alert foreman when running low. Other duties as assigned
