    BELLINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS BELLINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS TITLE: EL MATH SKILLS ACCELERATION TUTOR - GR 8-10 This program is designed to help accelerate content and language acquisition for English Learner Students in grade 8-10 by offering tutoring support during the school day that connects to core curriculum and the prerequisite math skills and the language of math needed to access grade level standards and beyond. The focus of this tutoring will be in Pre-Algebra and Algebra I courses (as a support), and in small groups for foundational math skill/prerequisite skill development. PROGRAM DATES: Spring Semester: February 2, 2026 - June 5, 2026 (18 weeks) 4 or 5 days out of the 7 day cycle, not to exceed 2 hours per day over 45 days ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Collaborate with course educator to facilitate instruction 2. Select appropriate math lessons (from already curated resources) based on student data that are culturally and linguistically sustaining, honoring students assets, prior knowledge and full linguistic repertoire for reteach and review in small groups 3. Engage students in skill practice and demonstration of learning and use of target language 4. Differentiate instruction for EL students of various proficiency levels 5. Supervise students during small group instruction 6. Document learning experiences for small group instruction (bulleted objectives) on template provided by the EL Director 7. Share student progress with EL Director and course educators bi-weekly 8. Follow all applicable school rules QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
