    GENERAL PURPOSE This position is responsible for crafting custom acrylic screens to exceed customer expectations. Ensuring highest product quality to the customer by assembling, disassembling, and packing rear projection modules per customer specifications. This position also builds custom Mylar mirrors. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILTIES Craft Plexiglas screens including cutting, sanding, and buffing parts according to customer specifications. Assemble frame screens according to customer specifications. Cut, assemble, and disassemble extrusion per drawings, customer requirements and SOP's. Closely monitor all tolerances to ensure proper fit with other components such as mirrors and screens. Record production data and properly fill out all associated paperwork per customer requirements and department SOP's. Perform quality inspection for all stages of assembly process and notify Team Lead or Plant Manager of any concerns. Follow testing procedures to validate parts. Mix chemicals, apply coatings, operate saws, build shipping crates, and support other manufacturing areas as required. Complete the clean-up responsibilities and maintain the workstation according to 7S procedures. Support Legrand core values. Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations. This may include frequent use of vibrating/pneumatic tools, overhead and outstretched reaching with arms, bending/twisting/stooping, kneeling/squatting and frequently lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. throughout the day and occasionally up to 70 lbs. as needed. Observes, monitors, and adjusts machine as necessary. Positions, adjusts, and feeds material manually to complete orders. Reads work orders to determine product specifications or material requirements. Load spools of material onto machine. Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction and works with maintenance if necessary to identify appropriate repairs. Forecasts ahead to accommodate spooling schedule and daily orders. Assemble spools and boxes as required. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures (health, safety, and environment) to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace. Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile. Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner. Provide training to new and/or junior employees with a focus on training to the SOP, performing work in a safe & efficient manner, and product quality within control limits and/or specifications as required.
