The Machine Learning Engineer II will be a member of the Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in AV's MacCready Works division and support the development of a variety of innovative computer vision capabilities (object detection, classification, localization, and tracking) and other image/video analytics for defense and commercial applications. This will involve set up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring processing equipment according to assigned specifications, and regular communication with production personnel and supervisors and the completion of required paperwork. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Turns on all support equipment necessary to run the facility as needed. Must do visual inspections and complete documentation during the run to insure defect free work. Load corrugate, labels, bottles/cans, glue, carriers etc… in appropriate machines. Performs minor package change-overs on equipment as required, as well as change- over to proper raw material. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment with regards to cleaning and clearing them of debris and materials. Assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as/if needed. Must insure that all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run. Air is on, all conveyors are on. Must do visual inspection of boxes to insure proper box/tray is used and the graphics on the box/tray are acceptable. Watch flow of materials, i.e. Cans/bottles/boxes/trays, etc… into appropriate machine. Clear jams if necessary. Must insure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, and if applicable the graphics are acceptable. Must insure closures and lids are properly applied. Verify flavor and size according to schedule. Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager. Monitor the machine while running. Check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly. Fill glue pot's as necessary. Verify case code is correct as scheduled. Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift. Must follow the work rules at all times. GMP compliance MUST be adhered to at all times. Is responsible to report any quality issue to the Lead person, QA Technician and/or Manager. Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks. Keep work area clean at all times. Pay Range: $22.00/Hour-$26.00/Hour (Negotiable depending on experience) Job Summary: Responsible for manufacturing parts using filament winding equipment, which involves different techniques to modify glass, carbon, and other fibers to create parts and structures according to project specifications. Operates CNC machines necessary to produce products. Common activities include reading and understanding machine instructions, safety manuals, Process Specifications, and other work instructions Duties and Responsibilities: · Develops a hands-on working knowledge of winding machines, resin mixing equipment, hoists, extractor, and curing ovens and any other ancillary equipment required in the winding process · Produce products per standard procedures, process specifications and other work instructions. · Demonstrates consistent aptitude to meet and exceed established production goals. · Read and understand machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications and other documentation necessary to produce quality product. · Set-up and tear down production machinery, validate progress of machine's work and adjust as necessary. · Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines · Gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials needed to complete the process · Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. · Assemble parts to match product specifications either by hand or with tools (hand tools and power tools). · Demonstrate leadership by complying with safety programs, policies and guidelines to ensure safe, clean, orderly and productive working conditions. · Must be highly productive with minimal guidance and supervision. · Notify appropriate chain of command with quality or production issues, with the ability to offer solutions and suggestions on how to address the issue. · Respects and supports leadership, co-workers and subordinates. · Work closely with other team members in accomplishing individual and team member training goals, communicating any concerns. · Apply subject matter knowledge to develop other team members strengths. · Consistently demonstrates commitment to Hexagon's values of Integrity and Drive in all aspects of employment. · Comply with company policies and procedures. · Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools · Experience with Fanuc controls, a plus · Ability to accurately use measuring devices [pi-tape, calipers, air pressure gauges, etc.] · Ability to operate power tools [hand saws, drill guns, band saws, etc.] · Demonstrated mechanical aptitude · Ability to read detailed instructions · Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals · Provide accurate record keeping · Basic computer knowledge · Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment with a strong sense of urgency · Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to work in a team environment and work independently · Willing to work overtime as needed to meet project deadline. Reports To: Manager, Production; Manager, Facility Operations Production Technicians are responsible for all aspects of plant processing from packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team. These responsibilities include assembling completed product materials into various containers and packages as well as ensuring that the appropriate quantity, weight, and type of product is packaged. This position works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity and acts with professional regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment.
