What You Will Do As a Production Operator - Assembler you will build a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and components for use in the aerospace industry. This assembly position is within our cleanroom which requires specialty precautions in the care of our electronics including protective clothing such as coveralls, masks, hair net gloves, etc. Primary Responsibilities: * Build assemblies as directed by supervisor or team lead in conformance to drawing and quality standards while adhering to documented production time standards if applicable. * Adhere to lot traceability and general inventory practices. * Works from Engineering or Quality drawings, specifications, standards, test procedures, and verbal instructions to determine product or procedure acceptance. * Will be responsible for validating that build and inspection equipment is calibrated and/or qualified as Fit-for-Use. * Understanding of lot traceability and general inventory practices. * Will be responsible to perform self-audits of workstation or as directed to ensure compliance to system and specification requirements. * Takes initiative to define and recommend improvement opportunities * Recognize deviations from standard drawings/practices * Assembly requirements may include: soldering, crimping, wire harnessing, basic testing, visual inspection * May perform inspection of complex assemblies and systems for conformance to drawing and quality standards. * May perform basic troubleshooting of complex assemblies, assembly tools, tooling, and test equipment associated with production product, upgrades, & reworks. * May perform visual, dimensional, electrical, functional, and optical inspections per specified documentation. * May be assigned tasks by supervisor/manager such as Fit-for-Use, Shelf Life and Calibration. * Performs special projects/tasks as assigned Preferred Education: * High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree a plus. Essential Duties: • Technically understand and manipulate various control panels and instrumentation data to ensure that machinery is performing accurately. • Stack film to customer requirements. • Reduce waste and scrap levels of machinery by maintaining appropriate settings. • Perform the appropriate quality checks to ensure finished products meets customer needs. • Handle all material, finished products and packing material within the production site to ensure proper assembling and packing requirements. • Ability to operate the equipment and adjust settings as needed. • Assist Shift leader and/or maintenance personnel for equipment repair and troubleshooting as may be assigned. • Keep records of production data. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, tools and production environment. • Report immediately to the supervisor any changes or unusual results on product or equipment. • Must understand safety precautions and follow the safety procedures. • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time. Qualifications: High School Diploma 1-3 years prior manufacturing experience preferred. Read, write and speak fluent English. Standing, running, walking, sitting, kneeling, stooping/bending, lifting more than 50 pounds frequently, squatting, pushing, pulling, crawling, jumping, sliding, climbing, pinching, gripping reaching over head, reaching away from body, and repetitive motion.
