Protech Associates CEO and leadership

I started working with computers while attending University of Maryland in 1982. I worked part time at Management Engineers, Inc. where I worked on my first not for profit applications. I was a programmer on Wang 2200 mini computers, developing with Basic-2 (still have the reference manual), then onto the Wang VS and COBOL/Speed II. In 1986 I joined Protech as the second employee, working with Frank Bruffey, Jr. on custom solutions for Associations, Home Builders, Furniture Manufacturers, etc.

Around 1988-89, we released our first Association product based on a PC Novell network, using a RAD tool called Magic. As we grew, I continued to be a developer, but also took on spinning up and managing new developer resources, as well as primary architect of our Magic based solution called Vision Series.

In 2002-2003, I led the team to re-develop our Vision Series AMS, for the Microsoft CRM .NET platform, currently branded as UX. Along the way, we developed comparable member facing applications integrated with UX, you may know as Web Portal and MX.

My mission is to provide our customers with a superior product, on a predictable and scalable upgrade path thru the our industry technology changes and challenges. We still have customers we first engaged with in the early 90s, Keeping our customers satisfied with our products is my number one job.
