Job Description The Process Engineer owns the plant floor layout and encompassed assembly and fabrication processes for the assigned department and will be responsible for the improvement of the Productivity metric for the department as well as act as the engineering resource in support of daily production needs. Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for the Manufacturing organization for automated assembly equipment support Own and prepare reports for the productivity metric on a daily basis for the department Supervise Engineering Assistants Facilitate continuous improvement efforts and the associated Kaizen events Own and improve the assembly and fabrication processes on the production lines Maintain department layout and coordinate equipment moves through Maintenance Assist in establishing and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing data Manage projects associated with the plant strategic direction Support new product development activities in terms of process and product qualifications Assist in evaluating Design for Assembly (DFA) Develop and maintain standard work processes Utilize standard industrial engineering tools for the quantification of labor and establishment of headcount templates Monitor and adjust line capacities in response to product volume changes Respond to safety incidents and participate in safety initiatives for the department Act as the ergonomic resource for the department Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience is required.
