Performs multi-piece dimensional inspections that utilize CMM, Optical Comparator and/or other appropriate measurement equipment to ensure the collection of accurate measurement information.
Records measurements, reviews, and compiles measurement results into official reports
Identifies issues during the inspection process and provides feedback to the requisitioning engineer.
Works within the lab schedule to ensure that inspection projects are completed on time and equipment is utilized efficiently.
Preforms verification of metrology equipment (ASME B89), maintains equipment performance logs.
Performs Gage Certification, CMM Gage R&R and Capability Studies
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 6 years CMM experience with at least 4 years of programming experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A working knowledge of PC-DMIS CMM Programming Software and Microsoft Excel
A working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and the interpretation of engineering drawings.
Possesses good spatial reasoning.
Fluent in English.
Possesses the ability learn quickly and make reasoned decisions based on limited information as demonstrated by a minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the cognitive portion).
Automotive quality control and CAD experience is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Detailer / Quality Support Technician plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional final product to our customers. This position is responsible for performing thorough vehicle detailing and quality inspections prior to customer delivery, ensuring all repairs meet CollisionRight s high standards.
This role also supports shop operations by assisting with facility maintenance, organization, and cleanliness, helping create a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform detailed cleaning and final detailing of vehicles prior to customer delivery
Conduct visual inspections of repaired areas and promptly report any concerns or defects to the General Manager or assigned technician
Support general shop and grounds maintenance to ensure a clean, organized facility
Inspect goods and completed work according to quality and safety standards
Assist with ensuring test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and comply with hazardous waste disposal guidelines
Participate in monthly safety meetings
Maintain organization and proper function of tools and equipment in the detail department
Identify opportunities for improvement in quality control processes
Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom upkeep
Make minor repairs as needed (e.g., changing light bulbs)
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver s License with a good driving record
Prior automotive industry experience preferred but not required
