This position is a fundamental part of our engineering team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven project experience and someone who shows the drive for quality control and training.
You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Project Management
Create work instructions/quality alerts and related documentation and ensure they are current, accurate and understood by the team.
Identify, prepare, and implement improvement opportunities that support optimum production and quality levels.
Prepare recommendations/analysis for the development of new and/or improved processes that support optimum production and quality levels.
Measure and track key process information used to direct resources.
Ensure the transfer of information to appropriate shift and plant-wide personnel.
Monitor and review budget, forecast and factor into daily decisions.
Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed to help with business unit goals.
Stay current with METCO business including present and future trends.
Test, Inspect, and identify Milwaukee Tool products that do not adhere to Quality standards.
Ability to Identify symptoms of broken or non-conforming parts and investigate root cause.
Perform support activities of the Quality/Reliability team as needed.
Work from defining sampling plans or collection plans to support ongoing quality initiatives.
Develop and implement new audit plans where applicable.
Capability to quickly establish credibility, influence project teams and persuade professionals at all levels.
Partners with key stakeholders and effectively communicates up, down, and across the organization.
Leads with clear direction of priorities in a climate of change for quality auditors and training team members.
Maintains a strategic cross functional mindset and understands how business decisions will impact the entire organization.
The TOOLS you'll bring with you:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering or industrial technology.
Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience.
Supervisory experience required.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
Must have a prominent level of self-initiative and have proven “start-to-finish” project management skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of production systems and techniques (must be able to learn and apply METCO management tools). Must be able to problem solve and use root cause analysis.
Computer knowledge and skills required.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Periodic travel may be required up to 25%.

Role Purpose:
Provide leadership, training, support and disciplines for establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support. Key Accountabilities:

* Facilitate QA training for new and existing associates.
* Review documents and instruction prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
* Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives. Incorporate QA, OP and PIM tools and methodologies, as appropriate, in performance of tasks.
* Recommends appropriate methods for supporting the site operations' requirements for quality assurance compliance.
* Lead/support coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities and provide direction for compliance with FDA, DEA, ATF, State and other similar regulatory requirements.
* Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
* Lead and facilitate development of QMS documentation.

* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
