Cardinal Staffing Services, is hiring for a Quality Technician for a client in Defiance, OH. As a Quality Technician, you will work with quality systems and perform technical, mechanical, or diagnostic tests, perform and analyze tests to track results and make improvements, and accurately compile data. You will work in a lab setting as well as the production floor.

Required Qualifications of the Quality Technician:
Perform accurate and consistent testing on products according to inspection and test methods
Maintain and clean the laboratory and laboratory equipment
Maintain and file accurate, detailed laboratory records using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Read and interpret department documents and follow those guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy
Perform basic mathematical concepts - standard conversions, calculating percentages, measurements, etc.
Perform basic computer skills - know or learn applicable software
Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:
Passing scores on lab aptitude, math/ruler reading and writing tests
Basic math and computer skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
High School Diploma; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Obtaining relevant ASQ Certification(s) is encouraged

The Quality Technician (QT) at CPI is responsible for the auditing, inspection and testing functions through-out the value stream. In addition, the QT is charged with following up on any process and/or product non-conformances to assure they are brought to an effective solution while assisting with troubleshooting and supporting operations as required.

Complete Quality Release testing process including physical testing and visual inspection. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials or product to measure performance, life or material characteristics.
Observe, report, and document quality data information on checklists and/or electronically, as required.
Conducts inspections and recommends final disposition based on those results. Initiates product hold procedures as necessary.
Verifies setups and completes in-process audits in Pressroom, Finishing and EMV.
Coordinates with production supervision regarding completion of testing and in-process audits.
Participate in continuous improvement teams and projects, if assigned.
Complete incoming inspection process on received raw materials, if assigned.
Identify, document, and communicate, as appropriate, quality information on the Shop Floor documents and other applicable quality forms.
Assist with problem solving and trouble-shooting activities, as assigned.
Assure proper rerun/rework paperwork is printed and required inspections are completed.
