The MLA I performs phlebotomy, swabs, urine collections, and CLIA-waived testing for procedures for patients. Ensures patient identification, proper specimen collection, selection of healthcare provider, and other vital information for order accuracy. Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required. National Phlebotomy certification is preferred. Any certifications must be kept current through continuing education if required.. Have and maintain Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) Certification. Previous experience in a health-related field is desired. Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication, and computer proficiency specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.
