Summary:
RegisteredDietitians provide expert advice on food and nutrition to support patients' health and well-being. They assess dietary needs, develop personalized nutrition plans, and monitor outcomes to manage chronic conditions, address malnutrition, or meet specific health goals.
Essential Work Functions:
Evaluate appropriateness of diet order for diagnosis and recommend diet order changes as indicated
Instruct patients and patient families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order
Conduct patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease
Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of the patient's current health
Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to include physicians, nurses, and aides
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for RegisteredDietitians
Required Essential Skills:

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism

As a Long-Term Care consulting RegisteredDietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You share your dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff as well as assisting with policy development. QUALIFICATIONS
Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
Licensed (if required by State)

As a Long-Term Care consulting RegisteredDietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited institution.
RegisteredDietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and state licensure as required.
Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Nutritional Assessment & Care Plans: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and adjust them based on residents' health conditions and dietary needs.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to ensure diet modifications align with residents' medical conditions and care goals.
Compliance & Education: Ensure adherence to state and federal dietary regulations while educating residents, families, and staff on nutrition and special diet requirements.
