The Clinical Nutrition Manager II plans, coordinates and manages all patient/resident nutrition care activities while complying with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and clients. Develops and implements cost effective, profit-generating nutrition programs, functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans, and establishes and maintains policies, standards and programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutrition care to patients/residents. ? Utilizes equipment, resources, and programs to provide efficient and high-quality care
? Assists in the performance planning process for Dietitians and Dietetic Interns and interviews, selects and trains employees within the Food and Nutrition Services
? Participates in the budget process
? Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population
? Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other facility departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care
? Establishes education programs for facility's professional staff (nursing, pharmacy, medical and surgical residents)
? Develops, implements and documents in-service education programs for Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Interns and other nutrition personnel, including hourly dietary staff, to provide continuing education and training
? Engages in and encourages staff to participate in research, submits to professional publications and professional and community lectures
? Establishes and maintains systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment
? Maintains registration status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensure through the state board
? Maintains professional continuing education annually

Qualifications
? Requires at least 5-7 years of experience as a clinical dietitian
? 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred

What you will do
Provides the Nutrition Care Process. Formulates and implements pediatric specialty medical nutrition therapy plan of care. Documents in accordance with policy, procedure, and clinical practice guidelines.
Understands and documents face to face and telehealth charging practices with subsequent input into the electronic charging system.
Screens, triages, and prioritizes medical nutrition therapy consults for all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescent, and adult.)
Completes nutrition assessments and identifies nutrition diagnosis/problem(s).
Identifies and documents differing malnutrition indicators in the following groups: neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
Monitors formula orders and calculates special recipes with or without additives for milk tech staff.
Identifies and integrates trends in anthropometic indices and biochemical data, implications of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
Performs pediatric nutrition focused physical findings to evaluate nutritional status throughout the lifecycle.
Performs and ensures proper athropometric data and proper measuring techniques, including pediatric specific head circumference, segmental length, and recumbent length, and applies values to appropriate growth charts.
Serves as resource for multidisciplinary team on proper anthropometric measuring techniques and equipment.
Performs increased frequency of monitoring and adjusts pediatric plan of care, as pediatric patients can become malnourished quickly.
Implements nutrition plan of care and works collaboratively with foodservice staff and milk techs to ensure conformance and continuation of said plan.
Functions as an integral member of the clinical interdisciplinary team and the Nutrition Therapy team.
Navigates wide network of pediatric formulas and additives and the corresponding companies to ensure tolerance and availability and patients fincial resources.
Works with case management and social work to identify available resources for formula supplies between WIC, insurance, and community programs. Documents need for each resource, how much will come from each resource, and assists with document completion for insurance, DME and community resource formula coverages.
Identifies goals and provides age-specific, culturally appropriate nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers throughout the lifecycle.
Uses evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines and appropriate instructional methods and tools based on appropriate age groups.
Documents in medical record patient's and/or caregiver comprehension and anticipated compliance with nutrition guidelines in measurable terms. Completes Ad Hoc charting for in-patient.
Calculates special formula recipes for home and modifies as needed. Completes education with pt/caregivers, and documents formula education in the EMR.
Monitors, trouble shoots, and communicates outpatient issues and nutrition plan of care in EMR messaging when patients are between outpatient appointments and/or inpatient admissions.

How Registered Dietitians Empower Recovery
Conducts nutrition assessments for all assigned patients in accordance with policy and procedures and in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Summary of RD Registered Dietitian duties:
1.Responsible for completing all initial, change of condition, annual and quarterly nutritional assessments, plus the MDS and Care Plan per regulation and company policy and procedure.
2.Interviews patients and/or family members to obtain diet history.
3.Reviews the dietary requirements of each patient admitted to the facility, as may be required, and assists the attending physician in planning for the patient's prescribed diet plan.
4.Assists Food Service Director in implementing and interpreting department policies and procedures.
5.Reviews and edits menus as prescribed by the Diet Manual.
6.Writes and approves all therapeutic diets not defined on the cycle menu for which there are physician orders, instructs the staff on proper service of diets.
7.Visits patients periodically to evaluate the excellence of meals served, likes and dislikes, etc.
8.Monitors appropriate ordering of supplements, nourishments, snacks, and meals with the input of dietary, nursing, and therapy departments.
9.Documents on High Risk patients monthly, i.e. significant weight losses, tube feeders, and dialysis.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Completion of a BS, BSHE, or BSCS as well as an internship. AP4 or equivalent thereof.
2.Successful passing of the Registration Examination for Dieticians and have current registration I.D. through the ADA Commission on Dietician Registration.
3.Possesses a valid license or certification as mandated by the state where employed.
4.Ability to communicate effectively in English through verbal and written means.

Provides the Nutrition Care Process. Formulates and implements pediatric specialty medical nutrition therapy plan of care. Documents in accordance with policy, procedure, and clinical practice guidelines.
Understands and documents face to face and telehealth charging practices with subsequent input into the electronic charging system.
Screens, triages, and prioritizes medical nutrition therapy consults for all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescent, and adult.)
Completes nutrition assessments and identifies nutrition diagnosis/problem(s).
Identifies and documents differing malnutrition indicators in the following groups: neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
Monitors formula orders and calculates special recipes with or without additives for milk tech staff.
Identifies and integrates trends in anthropometic indices and biochemical data, implications of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
Performs pediatric nutrition focused physical findings to evaluate nutritional status throughout the lifecycle.
Performs and ensures proper athropometric data and proper measuring techniques, including pediatric specific head circumference, segmental length, and recumbent length, and applies values to appropriate growth charts.
Serves as resource for multidisciplinary team on proper anthropometric measuring techniques and equipment.
Performs increased frequency of monitoring and adjusts pediatric plan of care, as pediatric patients can become malnourished quickly.
Implements nutrition plan of care and works collaboratively with foodservice staff and milk techs to ensure conformance and continuation of said plan.
Functions as an integral member of the clinical interdisciplinary team and the Nutrition Therapy team.
Navigates wide network of pediatric formulas and additives and the corresponding companies to ensure tolerance and availability and patients fincial resources.
Works with case management and social work to identify available resources for formula supplies between WIC, insurance, and community programs. Documents need for each resource, how much will come from each resource, and assists with document completion for insurance, DME and community resource formula coverages.
Identifies goals and provides age-specific, culturally appropriate nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers throughout the lifecycle.
Uses evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines and appropriate instructional methods and tools based on appropriate age groups.
Documents in medical record patient's and/or caregiver comprehension and anticipated compliance with nutrition guidelines in measurable terms. Completes Ad Hoc charting for in-patient.
Calculates special formula recipes for home and modifies as needed. Completes education with pt/caregivers, and documents formula education in the EMR.
Monitors, trouble shoots, and communicates outpatient issues and nutrition plan of care in EMR messaging when patients are between outpatient appointments and/or inpatient admissions.
Demonstrates professional development and leadership.
