• Use EMR software to manage patient records and files; reinforce and uphold patient confidentiality as required by HIPAA and clinic.
• Prepare machine, needle site, catheter ports and monitor patient vital signs.
• Develop and implement protocols for equipment evaluation and training materials to instruct patients and staff in practices of principles of dialysis.
• Connect patients to dialysis machines and monitor them while they receive their treatment to ensure their safety and throughout the process.
• Initiate and discontinue hemodialysis treatments.
• Field incoming communications, perform administrative duties such as chart upkeep and telemetry monitoring with close attention to detail and accuracy.

• Maintain national certification as CCHT and attain CE's as required.
• Monitor patients receiving hemodialysis, analyze individual patient response to treatment, and change plan of care accordingly.
• Provide all facets of direct care to patients receiving dialysis treatments including bandaging and administering normal saline and heparin.
• Start dialysis by inserting needles into patient's site or catheter and connecting to machines.
• Water check, setting up machines, monitoring blood pressures, performing CPR, making bicarb/acid.
