Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. 3-7 years demonstrated experience in software development. Demonstrated experience with .NET C#, Microsoft Visual Studio IDE preferred. Demonstrated experience controlling and retrieving data from data acquisition devices. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving software-hardware issues. Demonstrated experience in critical thinking and problem-solving skills, planning and organizing. Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities. Desired skills Experience with other high-level languages (C, Python, etc.). Experience with interacting with databases, PostgreSQL preferred. Experience defining database table structures, tidy data concepts. Experience developing test routines in NI LabView. Controls Technician (entry level) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * ASSIST WITH THE ORGANIZATION OF COMMISSIONING OF DDC PROJECTS by accepting projects from project management; analyzing commissioning workload timelines; understanding project requirements, sequence of operation, programming and system type; conferring and collaborating with other members of engineering and programming team. * ENSURE PROPER SYSTEM OPERABILITY by assisting in an onsite performance verification ("Big Picture Checkout") with the HBT engineer to verify the system is functioning as it was designed. * ASSIST WITH THE MAINTAINANCE OF PROJECT DOCUMENTATION by updating wiring diagrams and sequence changes; maintaining current DDC program and displays; maintaining project commissioning sheets; collaborating with Project Managers and Programmers to assure that current documentation is accurately and promptly transmitted from the field. * ASSISTS WITH THE COMPLETION OF THE COMMISSIONING OF DDC PROJECTS by organizing, prioritizing and scheduling start-up assignments; coordinating with programming for needed modifications and corrections for DDC and Displays; organizing turnover to Project Manager for project close-out; following up on work results. * ASSIST WITH THE COMMUNICATION OF PROJECT INFORMATION by updating Project Managers and Construction Coordinator as to construction progress; updating any project deadline information; advising as to any changes in schedule or change orders; logging daily work in a project manual or work diary. * LEARN THE INDUSTRY by attending approved educational workshops; reviewing industry publications; reviewing Dealer Intranets; maintaining knowledge on proper electrical and mechanical installation methods; reviewing product specifications and catalogs on project material. * CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT by leading by example; initiating an open and positive attitude; preparing for and attending training meetings; assisting in the training of new employees; sharing technical information with associates; accomplishing related results as needed. * WILLINGNESS AND ABILITY TO TRAVEL by Cooperating and understanding the importance high profile customers with locations in multiple regions and recognizes a sense of urgency with those needs. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: * In the process of completing an accredited surgical technologist program * May accept 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field * Must be certified in Basic Life Support within 6 months of employment ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures * Help prepare the operating room by setting up the sterile field to include surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions * Follows state and federal facility regulations when attending to patients * Performs pre-procedure preparations to the patient's skin and body * Completes a safety check prior to start of the procedure on appropriate equipment, supplies, etc. * Assembles both sterile and non-sterile equipment, as well as checking to ensure it is working properly * May assist with positioning on the procedure table * Drapes the patient with surgical drapes per procedure to be performed * Passes instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants * Retracts, cut sutures and performs other functions under the supervision of the physician performing the procedure * Participates in the count of sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments, based on type of procedure performed * Helps prepare specimens and assists with the disposition of specimens * Applies dressings * Post-procedure, assists with patient transfer from the procedure bed to the stretcher * Cleans and restocks the procedure room * Pulls supplies and instruments for upcoming procedures * Assists with the maintenance of physician preference cards and inventory management * Assists with the decontamination and cleaning, sterilization and performance of quality testing related to sterilization and high-level disinfection * Performs other duties as assigned PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: * Ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift or turn disabled patients * Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment * Ability to concentrate for periods of up to four hours * Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone * Ability to use computer keyboard and to view a computer monitor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES * Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients in the center * Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication * Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Surgical technologists work in clean, well-lighted, well-ventilated environments.
