Position Overview
As a Lab Technician at Queens Carbon, you will operate testing machinery and lab testing equipment to characterize the physical properties and performance of materials that are used in cement manufacturing and the performance of products made using Queens Carbon's processes. The process includes following procedures for sample preparation according to either ASTM standards or Queens Carbon specific standard operating procedures. The technician is also tasked with maintaining the testing equipment to ensure it is operating according to either manufacturer's specifications or according to required standardized testing requirements. Lab Technicians have direct contact with Scientists and Engineers by reporting the results of testing or reporting observations of specimen performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage material testing workflow from sample submission through testing completion.
Accurately record testing results via database management.
Follow SOPs to operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and machinery.
Import testing data to graphing programs for analysis by R&D team.
Manage inventory of lab consumables.
Work with the lab team to brainstorm improvements to our technology.
Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
The job is performed in a hands-on work environment. The employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk and lift 35 pounds unassisted or more than 35 pounds assisted. The employee must be able to communicate well in both verbal and written means and use fine motor skills to operate a computer, make measurements and control equipment/machinery.
At least 1 year of research experience in an academic or industrial setting.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science disciplines
Ability to work full time and in person at our lab in Pine Brook NJ.
Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to learn quickly, and the propensity to tackle new problems.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate - Women and Children Health Study - Mineola.
In this role, the successful Research Data Associate will support several projects relating to the impact that environmental factors have on children's health and development. Currently our team is working on studies requiring team members to collect, process, and store biological and medical history data for NYU Factors Influencing Reproductive Success and Time to pregnancy (NYU FIRST); NYU Children's Health & Environment Study (NYU CHES); Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO), NYU Pediatric Obesity, Metabolism and Kidney Cohort Center. This positions will support a growing program of work assisting mainly with day-to-day research activities and data collection.
Job Responsibilities:
Obtain informed consent from study participants and carefully follow study protocols and scripts.
Communicate with research participants including but not limited to: scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments.
Collect biospecimen samples from research participants and safely transport the samples to the lab.
Obtain diet clinical data including: body measurements, DXA scans, and blood pressure measurements.
Administer additional study assessments like diet/physical activity questionnaires, chart abstraction, cord blood and delivery/postnatal EHR extraction, as well as anthropometric measurements.
Conduct follow-up calls with participants to ensure accurate data collection and assist with questionnaire data collection. Keep records of all interactions in our call center database in a comprehensible way.
Complete all necessary paperwork and data documentation, including but not limited to data collection, and documentation of specimen delivery and participant incentives.
Perform data entry and database management activities.
Support the study including but not limited to: creating electronic study forms, cleaning data, and generating reports to be used for participant scheduling and follow-up.
Ensure adequate stocking of supplies and report needs to supervisor.
Maintain a positive and accommodating relationship with study team and participants.
Evening and weekend hours and some travel required.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.

We are seeking a dedicated R&D Formulation Scientist to join our innovative team. You will partner closely with sales and customers to support product requirements and technical needs, develop formulations for various products, and collaborate with sourcing and purchasing teams to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Develop formulations for oils, waters, soft gels, two-piece capsules, powders, and granulations.
+ Collaborate with sourcing and purchasing teams to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.
+ Troubleshoot technical formulation issues and provide expert problem-solving support.
+ Assist with analytical testing and quality assessments.
+ Perform hands-on work in the Product Development laboratory.
+ Utilize analytical instrumentation including GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS.
+ Evaluate laboratory capabilities and identify opportunities for future R&D expansion.
+ Work effectively with a predominantly Spanish-speaking laboratory team; comfort using translation tools is helpful.
Essential Skills

**Overview of Position:**
We are looking for a highly motivated Researcher to join our neuropharmacology group. The successful candidate will work in a team of scientists and researchers supporting preclinical studies using rodent models. The primary responsibilities of the candidate will include, but are not limited to, dosing animals, surgical nursing, conducting behavioral assessments, and dissection and tissue collection. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating studies and the proper execution of experiments. The candidate must be capable of working both across teams and independently.
**Main Responsibilities:**
Tasks performed with rodents may include:
+ Test article dosing using various routes of administration (IP, SC, PO)
+ Behavioral testing; learning and memory, anxiety, and/or motor assessments
+ Tissue collection (anatomical dissection of brain region, along with peripheral organs and muscles)
+ Data handling (graphing and analyzing data)
+ Study coordination (preparing run sheets and mix sheets, creating shipping manifests)
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in biological sciences neuroscience, or related field
+ 1-3 years of laboratory and behavioral experience with rodents
+ Animal handling skills and knowledge of rodent behavioral models
+ Attention to detail, strong organizational, multitasking and troubleshooting skills
+ Able to work well in a group atmosphere, as well as independently
+ High level of commitment, excellent motivation to perform and to learn
+ Able to comprehend and comply with SOPs and IACUC regulations, and to follow safety and quality assurance protocols,as well as to question and/or report any deviations to study protocols
+ Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and to pick up new skills quickly
