Intern Position Summary
Oatey is seeking a Digital Marketing & AI Intern to join our 12-week Oatey Intern Experience Program this summer. This role is designed for a student pursuing a degree in Marketing who also brings technical curiosity and skill in areas like information systems, data science, or computer science. The intern will contribute to applied marketing projects that leverage artificial intelligence and digital tools to drive innovation and efficiency.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Greenhouse Research Technician at our Research facility in Kent, OH. This position will conduct research, innovation and development of new grower-focused products. Day-to-day activities of this position include planning experiments and trials, collecting data, writing reports, and greenhouse maintenance and sanitation. Additional duties include procuring plant material, lab and greenhouse consumables. Although most product development is carried out in the greenhouse, this position does involve some laboratory and post-harvest work. Areas of focus for the Greenhouse Research Technician role will include (but not be limited to):
Conducts and assists with research experiments in the greenhouse for propagation, container production of bedding plants, or hydroponic production (deep-water culture and nutrient film technique) of bedding plants or leafy greens.
Manages greenhouse environmental controls.
Will contribute ideas, experiments and findings to research peers on a weekly basis.
Plans and runs greenhouse trials by setting up, trial maintenance and data collection, followed by data entry and analysis. Presents findings and data to research team.
Maintain trials, including irrigation, scouting for pests, and application of plant growth regulators and/or insecticides as needed for healthy crop production.
Pour-through methods to measure pH and EC of pot leachate.
Document trials with photos at the beginning and end, including photos of individual plant treatments. Transfer photos to computer and annotate/label crop photos.
Reads and reviews research literature to generate innovative ideas for new product development.
Identifies production or post-harvest related problems within industry, reviews literature to learn possible solutions and uses the information to improve or develop product solutions.

An individual with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in horticulture, environmental sciences, biology or botany is preferred.
An individual who has a minimum of 1 to 2 years greenhouse floriculture or CEA experience is preferred.
An individual with knowledge of greenhouse operations and management is preferred.
An individual who has experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and SAS statistics is beneficial.

With the highest level of integrity and responsible conduct of research, participate in writing manuscripts as a first author and co-author for discoveries from research performed in the lab, together with the PI and other lab members (10%).
3. With the principal investigator, establish goals and objectives for the efficient and timely completion of projects. Meet regularly with the principal investigator to review and set priorities, staff/student-related issues, and future research staff and planning. Provide scientific oversight of all research projects, including data collection and maintenance. Establish and manage the day-to-day priorities of the research staff. Supervise and mentor research assistants and technicians. Supervise Coordinate experiments performed by other lab members, ensuring adequate resources, assisting with experimental design and analysis. Oversee progress of the research projects and provide regular progress reports to the PI; and provide input and recommendation to principal investigator regarding significant developments in research projects. Ensure the PI is informed about the results of lab members, and ensure the PI's experimental strategy is explored by lab members and through independent experiments by the Research Associate (10%).
4. Present data and findings at laboratory meetings and scientific meetings, seminars, etc. Prepare manuscripts, and contribute preliminary data for grant proposals (10%).
5. Mentor and train lab staff and graduate students; oversee research work and ensure projects are being completed according to the research plan. Position Summary:
MarshBerry is seeking an
Experiential Marketing Intern
for our Experience & Engagement Team in our
Beachwood, OH
office. The Experiential Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in planning, organizing, and executing corporate events that establish and deepen client relationships. The Intern will be directly integrated with the Experience & Engagement team and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
This internship is ideal for someone with a passion for creating engaging event experiences and offers exposure to the dynamic world of corporate event production and marketing. It offers a valuable learning experience for individuals looking to build a career in event planning and marketing. You will gain real-world experience in corporate event management within a dynamic marketing team and receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field, while playing a crucial role in creating memorable corporate events that positively impact the company's brand and client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the end-to-end planning and execution of corporate events, including conferences for clients and prospects, webinars, and internal meetings.
Support Experiential Marketing Manager with vendors, suppliers, and partners to secure services that may include guest management, catering, audiovisual, production, transportation, shipping, and entertainment.
Develop strategies and activities to engage event attendees, create memorable experiences, and foster networking opportunities.
Assist in marketing events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials to maximize attendance and engagement.
Work closely with the marketing team to manage event expenses, and ensure cost-effective event planning.
Support marketing team in creating and implementing feedback, data, and insights collected from event attendees to measure the success of each event and identify areas for improvement.
Participate in planning team meetings to evaluate event effectiveness, share key learnings, and make recommendations for future events.
Contribute creative and innovative ideas to enhance event experiences and keep events aligned with current industry trends.
Gain exposure to event technology such as Swoogo, Brella, and more.
Selection Criteria
Education & Experience:
Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, public relations, communications, event management, or a related field.
Experience planning student or campus events.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality event experiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Foundational skills in Microsoft Office and project management software.
An enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
Other:
Ability to take initiative, prioritize, organize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage them from beginning to end.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be willing to present ideas.
