This position is responsible for reading and interpreting schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.What's a Typical Day Like? Reads and interprets the job assignment's schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions. Assembles, positions, aligns, and fastens components to back planes or units by using a variety of hand tools and equipment. Assembles electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical or electronic components to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Positions, aligns, or adjusts workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly. Tests assembled parts to ensure correct functionality when required. Identifies and reports faulty or unsafe components and conditions to management during the assembly process. Prepares all surfaces and components to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing. Reports all accidents, injuries, unsafe activities, maintenance requirements, or mechanical faults. Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures per the Company's protocols. Follows the Five S methodology manual at all times. Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. What Are the Requirements of the Job? High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong communication skills. Consistent attendance and a safety-conscious attitude. Ability to work with minimal errors and take initiative. Must be able to remain stationary for 60% of the time; ability to lift up to 60lbs or 600lbs with assistance. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals; noise level typically moderate. Required to wear personal protective equipment. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
