The person filling this role will be responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and reporting the success of the affiliate's community-led program, focusing heavily on the successful, timely completion of all projects. The Community Development Lead will guide and coordinate the work of the Community Development Associate and the AmeriCorps Community Development Outreach Coordinator. This position is responsible for working with the Programs, Finance, Construction, and Community Engagement departments, and the Community Development Committee (made up of volunteers), to ensure the CD program works to best meet the needs of homeowners in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. This position also represents the affiliate with community partners involved in community development and revitalization by developing strong collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders. The lead must have great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and exercise strict self-discipline and dedication to operating ethically and professionally. The lead will have experience in making public presentations, facilitating group workshops, and knowledge of stakeholder involvement. Organizational and project management skills are critical to this position along with strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work a flexible schedule, including 40 hours a week, to accommodate community meetings and events as needed.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of the CD Program and streamline CD systems and processes to run effectively within the Programs department.
Schedule and track all home improvement projects from start to finish to ensure timely completion and fulfillment of program goals.
Complete the Scope of Work (SOW) development and project cost estimates and coordinate all subcontractors necessary for home repair projects. (more technical, moves from Assists to completes SOW)
Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with residents, local agencies, and other community stakeholders.
Organize, plan, and run community meetings and community projects.
Complete quarterly and annual reports to share program outcomes with Habitat for Humanity International, NeighborWorks America, and other donors/grantors.
Actively seek information about initiatives in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties that relate directly or indirectly to Community Development.
Work closely with Community Engagement staff to develop and execute a funding plan that ensures the sustainability of the CD program.
Attend assigned staff meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is primarily performed in an office setting and may require sitting for long periods of time. This position is often on their feet conducting workshops and showing homes. Driving within Escambia and Santa Rosa counties is common for this position. This position communicates with the public on a regular basis. On occasion, this employee will work on jobsites and perform other tasks that will require repetitive lifting of up to 25lbs. Anticipated work schedule follows general ‘business hours' but requires flexibility to meet after-hour and weekend obligations, with no fewer than 40 hours per week expected.

What will I be doing?
