Budget Rent a Car is seeking part time Shuttle Drivers to move rental vehicles between all locations and vendors for repairs. Shifts available 7AM-4PM and 12PM-8PM.
Shuttle vehicles, including full size passenger vans, between all locations and vendors, as needed
Support a team environment by assisting other agents, other locations and/or other areas when needed
Maintain current knowledge and adhere to guidelines on all company policies and procedures
Keeping appropriate paperwork of vehicles moved
Adhere to the guidelines on all company policies and procedures, new training information, etc.

* Demonstrates the ability to work with school age children.
* Keep a professional appearance and perform duties in a manner that will promote good public relations.
* Ability to remain both drug and alcohol free in the workplace and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing according to Alabaster City Schools policy.
* Be regular and punctual in attendance and follow correct procedure for signing in daily and securing substitutes.
* Maintains appropriate student management and reports student incidents to the appropriate supervisors.
* Cooperate with the Assistant Principal, Transportation Supervisor, and parents to solve discipline problems.
* Conduct bus evacuation drills in accordance with approved procedure.
* Transport authorized passengers only, follow the assigned time schedule, and route.
* Discharge students at authorized stops only.
* Keeps assigned bus clean by daily sweeping and periodic washing.
* Maintains effective communication with supervisors through the daily use of communication devices provided by Alabaster City Schools.
* Check bus before and after each operation for mechanical defects, unattended students, and any items left on the bus.
* Notify proper authority in case of mechanical failure and/or late arrival.
* Keep bus properly fueled at all times.
* Report all accidents, vehicle damage, and student injuries immediately should they occur.
* Complete and submit all required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
* Maintains and implements the established rules and procedures for transportation.
* Maintain confidentiality of any school system business.
* Maintain proper and professional relationship with students and other employees.
* Assume other transportation related duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES and REQUIREMENTS
* Must successfully pass the AlabamaSchoolBusDriver Physical or DOT Medical Exam Report once every two years.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 184 days at appropriate salary schedule.
