Wiley University is seeking a qualified part-time bus driver, to transport students, faculty and staff from the Wiley University campus to the other locations as required, which could include Texas State Technical College (TSTC) campus according to specified time schedule, and on athletic and other business trips where group attendance is required. On occasions it may be required to transport students to other specified locations including shopping centers and to local sporting events. This position is also responsible for the maintenance (cleaning and minor repairs) to the University's fleet of buses, vans and security cars. This position will provide back-up grounds maintenance as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
1.Transport students, faculty and staff personnel from the Wiley College campus to various locations and activities safely.
2. Complies with local traffic regulations.

**JOB SUMMARY**
Responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicle to deliver commercial products as required. Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

+ Receives from Truck Dispatcher delivery schedule. Organizes for delivery route and makes all required preparations for delivery.
+ Perform pre-delivery trip check on tank truck following Department of Transportation safety specifications, fuels, check truck for general operating requirements, and ascertains that all required equipment is available and in good operating condition.
+ Drives a tank truck & trailer or tractor/ trailer to customer's location; connects hose to tank and opens valves, reads gauges, record amounts delivered and leaves delivery ticket receipt with customer.
+ Checks truck once to determine if repairs are necessary.
+ Establishes/maintains good customer contact skills in handling customer's questions or schedules. Calls customers before loading/leaving load rack to make sure customer can receive load.
+ Maintains the assigned work areas, tank truck vehicle and/or its equipment in a clean and orderly manner performing housekeeping chores as required and/or directed.
+ Follows, maintains and adheres to all safety rules and operating procedures for facilities, loading rack, and customer premises. Follows traffic laws and DOT regulations.
